Where do I start. Room was dirty, housekeeping didn't come my entire stay. I had to go to the front and ask about their service. The front desk/management were rude. Room/halls smelled of too much chlorine. I saw a bug in the room, notified management/front desk...no help. Ended up leaving and going back home. A waste of my time and money. They wouldn't give me a refund. I notified my travel agent, who helped me greatly. Rec'd from Client

Our view of lake Michigan was amazing. Staff was wonderful. We went off season but i cant wait to come back in the summer and be able to walk right onto the beach.

Illinois State Beach Hotel
This was our 3rd time staying here. We loved it from the very beginning. It is one of the very few hotels with views of Lake Michigan from your hotel room. The rooms have always been spotless and disinfected beforehand. The showers have fantastic water pressure. Their towels are huge. Honestly, I'm nit-picky and I never have anything to nit-pick.

The beach resort is beautiful with views of the beach and lake from the room (which had a nice suite livingroom where we could hang out and balcony) with park all around for hiking. If it had been a little warmer, I would have gone swimming. They also had nice areas outside to socialize. The staff was really outstandingly nice and helpful. It was wonderful.

This is a wonderful hotel right by the beach and close to trails. They did a wonderful job updating the property. The decor is beautiful, the rooms are nice, and the beds are super comfortable. You can't beat the view; we watched the sunrise over the lake from our room window. Then we had coffee on the terrace and breakfast at the restaurant. Delicious food. Unbeatable for a quick weekend getaway. 5 stars, we would absolutely be back again.

After check in my room no towels. Dirty bathroom unclean pieces of dirty washcloth left in bathroom. Next day I told them we need room services to change bedsheet and bring towels for us. Once return to my room…no bedsheet change. They left new towels and new sheet for us to change ourself. Terrible…Terrible… No Strongly No recommended!!
