The room was definitely not fit for first class hotel. The plumbing was bad and there were several “holes “ covered by carpet. The coffee machine was missing and when we requested one we were told they don’t have it.

We love this place very much, especially the staff at the reception area and the concierge. They were professional and helpful and we felt welcomed. Although there was some confusion in the system about our booking. It took longer time to check in but was ironed out at the end. And the receptionist gave us a kind gesture for our long wait. The hotel's interior deco was a bit old to my taste, but the room was kept very clean and well stocked. We like our room very much with a view. And enjoyed reading the history about the hotel. The breakfast selections were excellent. A few minor items: the afternoon tea was a little below par. I saw some waiters chewing food in mouths while in the dining room. The noise from disassembling of evening party equipment after midnight may be an issue for light sleepers. We enjoyed our stay and highly recommend this hotel and would come back to stay here again.

We enjoyed our stay at Hotel Esplanade. The shower pressure and temp were good, the bed was large/comfortable, and the staff were extremely helpful. We heard from locals during our stay that this hotel is the best one in Zagreb and we have no major reasons to think otherwise. There was a small hair clump in the shower upon arrival and we didn’t like that the entire unit was carpeted, but everything else was quite lovely.

Located near the train station. Lovely hotel. A short walk to downtown central square. Many restaurants as you walk up the hill towards the old town. Tram drop off is nearby. Next to botanical garden.

Grand old Hotel. Winderful beds. Excellent location to Train Station, Central Zagreb and cultural area. Great terrace for drinks off of bar/main dining room. Also LeBistro for breakfast and lunch. Great Coffee.
