Great find!

Great location across road from train station, staff helpful and friendly. Large very clean room and so much choice for breakfast. We were catching early train so breakfast from 6am was brilliant

Absolutely enjoyed my stay. The hotel was around 15 to 20 mins walk to city, and was in a safe neighbourhood. Breakfast had a variety, and was comfortable. Will be back again.

Amazing location and breakfast but awful bed

Location 5/5, service 5/5, breakfast 5/5. Bed 1/5, size was great but it's very low with a really hard thin mattress, bad pillows and very starched bedding. Only one (thick) old single size blanket provided so if you are too warm and don't want to use a thick large duvet you'd need to ask for a blanket at the reception. We did not sleep well at all. Bathroom is 3.5/5 because we got a room with a bathtub which was quite high and difficult to get in and out of as well as the shower head's hose wasn't long enough so if you're over 180cm you'll have to bend over to wash your hair and it only has a little screen so you can't avoid spraying half the bathroom with water. Also, a really weird hair dryer/power unit. WIFI is 3/5 as it was glitchy with poor signal so we couldn't use the apps on the tv and had to use our mobile data on our phones. I would stay again because of the location and breakfast but only as a one night stay as the bed is really bad.

The location of Hotel Central was great for our visit to Zagreb's Upper and Lower Towns. Everything we wanted to see and do was within walking distance. The hotel and room were quiet despite being conveniently located across the street from the train station and a very busy transit stop. The room was a bit on the tight side for our famly of four adults but was functional all the same, and we were not in the room for any extended amount of time during waking hours. The complementary breakfast provided many options for everyone in the family. I would recommend this hotel to anyone making a quick visit to Zagreb.

Great breakfast, not so great bed

Amazing breakfast 5*, but the bed was rock hard, we didn't sleep well and only had a really thick duvet and really bad pillows but couldn't be bothered to ask for thinner blankets and different pillows for just one night stay. Room (and air con) needs a bit of updating, the blinds don't cover the windows fully so it's a tiny privacy issue. Location is amazing, breakfast was top notch but didn't sleep well.

The best thing about this hotel is definitely the location, it’s within walking distance of all the major museums and the Old Town. Buses and both domestic and international trains are right across the street, making it easy to catch a train to other cities in Croatia or even take a day trip to Slovenia. However, there are quite a few downsides. The noise from the tram runs nonstop, and the smell of cigarette smoke can be overwhelming at night—it definitely affected my sleep. The building itself is in need of a serious update. Breakfast was mediocre at best. While the staff were helpful, they weren’t particularly warm or welcoming. On the plus side, the bed was comfortable and the pillows were soft. That said, it’s very basic overall. Bring all your essentials, especially water. I’d rate it a 6/10, I wouldn’t recommend unless location is your top priority.
