Great location and great staff. So helpful and place was very clean . Walking distance to shopping and dining street that goes on forever , a trip around the world in cuisine available with gelato and ice cream of course .

The hotel was a great surprise. We booked at the last minute as we were driving through Zagreb to another destination in Croatia and we chose it because of the central location: and we were indeed very happy with the location, it is right in the old centre, within minutes of whatever sight you may be interested in. The free underground parking was a wonderful perk. We had a very nice room, with a big terrace overlooking the central street. It was, nonetheless, very quiet and comfortable. The room and the bathroom were very clean, as was the entire hotel area. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. We would definitely stay again, especially since it is a pet-friendly hotel.

Convenient property located close to dining and sightseeing. Quiet room and quite large. Breakfast was ok but hot items were cold the second morning. Wanted to watch the BBCnews but told we would have to pay extra for that channel. Shower door pretty grimy.

Whenever I'm in Zagreb, I always stay at Hotel Academia. The location is incredibly convenient, as it's just a 5-minute walk to the main city square, Trg Bana Jelacica. What really sets this hotel apart is the amazing staff who always go the extra mile to ensure that guests are well taken care of and assist with everything from dining recommendations to taxi reservations.

This hotel is in the heart of old town where most of the touristy spots are located and very walkable. Hotel is very clean, located in a very nice area and is close to bars and shops. Staff are very friendly and accommodating, our room is very spacious with a very spacious outdoor area overlook the old town. Breakfast is nice, you have variety for everyone. Would highly recommend this hotel.

if you want privacy, stay somewhere else
The worst! The air conditioner didn't work and we were told there is nothing that could be done. End of discussion! so we were sent a fan that squeaked all night. We were lucky to get a total of 2 hours sleep between sweating like crazy or being kept up by the noise of the fan. We had no wifi in the room and were told it was due to the large wedding taking place therefore bandwith was low however the next morning we still couldn't access the internet....so more lies. The final part of this wonderful story....we borrowed a pair of scissors from reception and were told we could return the next day however while we were out for dinner, housekeeping came into our room and looked for it and removed it without any notice or discussion. If you value you privacy and want to get what you paid for - DO NOT STAY HERE
