Little gem of a place

Booked at short notice, the room was ready early which was very handy. Room was comfortable and quiet, as we were to the rear overlooking the car park. There was plenty of parking available behind electric gates so nice and secure. Situated a short walk from the Minster and the city centre, waking to the sound of the bells from across the city, this hotel was certainly a good find! Will stop here again.

Great place to stay

Very good location as you can do everything by foot once youre parked up. Extremely friendly reception staff upon arrival, more than happy to keep our bags and let us park even though it was hours before check-in. Lots of stairs upto our room on top floor but that was ok. Breakfast was sensational and lots of choice. Really pleased we chose to stay here. Had to pay £10 parking charge but if you book direct with the hotel you get to park for free.

Another good stay

Booked for a second stay at the minster hotel arrived early and managed to get our room, parking on site which is fantastic and only a short walk into York itself. Room was spacious and clean, my only complaint was the bed being a little too soft but that’s personal preference. Currently under going renovations but that didn’t impact our stay. We booked for breakfast good choice of food on the menu and also continental. Staff all friendly and helpful.

Good location

The location was perfect.12 mins walk from train station and 15 mins from the centre. The room was alright, but could have been cleaner. Staff and services were good.

New years stay 2024

We had a fantastic time in york the hotel was situated close to the centre. Very well organised and all staff were very helpful friendly and polite. The room over looked the carpark and was very clean and warm. Breakfast was served in the dining room which is a great set up and the full english breakfast was excellent.

Nice chilled break in York

Hotel staff and food was perfect the room was great been many times but the breakfast is first class Stopped in many hotels & last week in Harrogate but the Minster can’t be beaten 10/10

There's always a warm welcome at The Minster Hotel, the staff can't do enough for you. The breakfast was excellent as always and even being Coeliac didn't spoil my experience as they catered well for me. The room was lovely and clean and had everything we needed. There is secure parking on the premises, to the rear, which is great as you can leave your car there during your stay and it's only a very short walk to the centre of the city. We have stayed a number of times and will continue to stay in the future 😊

I have stayed at the minster Hotel several times, each occasion has been the same experience – excellent. The hotel has its own parking on site, staff are friendly helpful and well informed… And just a short stroll from the centre of York and the Minster. Excellent breakfast finish off the deal, definitely recommended!

The staff was really friendly and the room was lovely, the bed could have fit 4 grown adults in it and im on the chunky side, so plenty of space, lovely wolk in shower, and no need to worry if you've forgotten your, showe gel/shampoo/condition as they have bottle despensers full in the bath room waiting for you, the parking is gated with a code for safe secure parking up to 1pm even aftr check out so was able to leave the car while we went site seeing and then come back and drive back hom.
