This is a beautiful property, located conveniently close to the station and a short walk to York's historic city center. Staff was very friendly and helpful and the breakfast buffet was exceptional. We would happily stay in The Grand, York on any future visit.

Perfectly pleasant stay. Friendly staff. Reasonable room. Ok pool and spa. However I would say not a 5 star hotel. I’ve stayed in very similar 4 star hotels, just felt slightly lacking and like they didn’t go the extra mile that a 5 star stay deserves.

Great hotel
What a beautiful hotel. Easy walk from the train station. We were welcomed by the door man upon our arrival. From desk was friendly and helpful. Concierge was always willing to help. The room was so large and beautiful, we almost didn't want to leave. When we did, it was an easy walk to all the sights.
