Great stay
Lovely room which was very spacious with high ceilings, nice furnishings (including black out curtains). Staff were very friendly. We loved the marble around the bath and the fittings. Powerful shower which was a bonus. We’ve only just got married and the hotel kindly sent us up a complimentary surprise bottle of Prosecco.

Room was warm when arrived. No one from maintenance showed up about my AC complaint. Front desk had someone send up a fan that was on a timer. Also Whoever brought the fan to our room never shut our door completely so was open.

The Grand in York is a truly spectacular hotel located conveniently to the train station and the city and beautiful surroundings. I found the spa to be a little disappointing and the package allowed for 3 hours to relax. There really wasn’t the space to do this. Treatments were wonderful however. If I stayed again I would just book a treatment and take advantage of the 1 hour per day offer to access the pool area.

Fantastic experience from start to finish. A traditional British 5 star, greeted by warm doormen whom then helped takw cased and check us in. Rooms are spacious with a lovely view, incredibly comfortable. Would stay again and highly recommend.

Doormen to greet and help with luggage, good sized twin room with big, comfy beds, large bathroom with bath and separate shower. Used the one hour complimentary spa which is petite but has pool, steam room and sauna. Sadly there was a notice up not to use the bubble pool that evening for some reason. Still was relaxing and numbers limited by booking to keep it manageable.

Absolutely everything is perfect! The hotel, the staff and rooms. Walk to everywhere and train station is literally around the corner, 6 minute walk. Highly recommend.
