Great location for exploring York on foot. Parking was available nearby on the hotel car park, which really helped. Nice room. Good breakfast. Staff were friendly and welcoming.

This was a lovely hotel and comfortable rooms but it would be much better to have the full prices of your cocktails on the menu - added service charges were not stated on the cocktail menu.

3rd time visit not the best
Always great service, missing kettle which we raised on the first day, never replaced for the 5 days we were there, however there was an offer of bringing tea, very dusty in couch room which set off allergies. Last 2 visits were spectacular so kind of disappointed this time

Disappointing compared to other Indigo stays
Disappointing in comparison to other Indigo hotels. Good locatio, comfy bed and good staff but spoilt by: Lack of storage in room, nowhere to hang coats when travelling in winter months First time I have stayed in a hotel where there were no biscuits on the drinks tray. Water wasn’t replaced after first day. There was no plastic shower mat in the shower cubicle, we did ask for one but apparently there are only two in the hotel and they were being used. This made taking a shower very dodgy for us as was slippy. Heating would only turn down to 18 which meant the room was too hot for us. We left the window open but struggled to sleep as all the air conditioning units were directly below the room making a noise all night plus staff were wheeling bins around below are room and singing at 7am in the morning. We did ask if there was an alternative room but apparently not. Shame about all of these things as as I have already said the staff were lovely, the hotel was in a good location.

Really delighted with our stay here. Very comfortable room and welcoming staff. Lovely breakfast. Many options for dinner nearby. Easy walk to the Shambles and the Minster. Very easy to call a taxi to get back to the train station. The staff dressed up for Halloween and the decorations were fun! Edina managed the breakfast area and was very friendly. Highly recommended!

Hotel Indigo in York is located at a very great spot but our experience was mediocre. The bathroom was not very clean, when doors close in other rooms they are too noisy, staff only greet you when you check in and nothing after that and the food quality at the restaurant was medium to low.

Good choice
Nice little spot not too far from the centre. Comfortable and characterful rooms. Good facilities and excellent breakfast. Staff polite, helpful and friendly would recommend and stay again.
