From the very beginning of our stay, we encountered multiple issues with our room. Both the sink and shower were clogged, which we immediately reported to the staff. While they addressed the clogs, the shower began emitting a foul odor that persisted for four days. Despite our efforts to endure the smell, it became unbearable, and I returned to the service desk to explain the situation. Eventually, I was referred to a supervisor. While she did switch our room, the process was a complete mess. We had to wait to check out of our old room and check into the new one. Transferring our luggage between rooms caused us to miss yet another event we had planned, adding to the growing list of frustrations. Altogether, we wasted about four days dealing with room or hotel-related issues. On top of that, the room setup was highly uncomfortable. There were three adults in our party, and we were given twin beds instead of the double beds advertised on their website. Sleeping in such cramped conditions was one of the most uncomfortable experiences of my life.
Unfortunately, the new room was no better. It was filthy, with wood shavings and other debris on the floor. The beds weren’t properly made, and the pillows were smashed and flat, unlike the pillows from our first room. It felt like they had given us someone else’s dirty room.
The overall atmosphere at the resort was also disappointing—most of the staff seemed to be in bad moods, starting with Ricardo at the service desk.
