The gentleman at check in wasn’t very pleasant. He was on the phone when I went in and although I wasn’t interrupting he didn’t acknowledge my presence not apologize for the wait. He just stood there until I asked what he needed for my check in. The hotel was overall pleasant and we have stayed here in previous trips to Florida.

The ice machine was broken. A sign was on the machine to go to the office to receive some. The employee said she knew nothing about it and said she had no ice. I said it seems like someone should go get some for their guests. Her comment was that ice was not a necessity and they didn't have to provide it. She then pointed out the window and said I could get my own ice at a gas station across the road. She didn't say it very nice. Then on the day of check out we ate the breakfast that was provided (not good at all). When we went to get back in our room our key no longer worked. A couple next to us said the same thing happened to them. It's almost like they already checked us out. I need to point out that the office is in another building. So, all this communication was not an easy feat. On top of that it was raining. All in all I would never stay there again. The beds were comfortable though!

Our stay in a Three Star Hotel

Very dated with everything. Could use a good reno on everything….. rug, furniture, appliances, sliding door ( couldn’t open without hurting ourselves) , bathtub etc Breakfast food could have had more options on hot food…. Hot egg, bacon, and fresher fruit. Not much there for someone with food allergies. Lots of muffins, pancakes and breads etc

Seemed to be some poor work done as “ upgrades”. Shower curtains attached to 1x4’s in the bathroom. Room smelled a bit like pets, understanding this is a pet friendly hotel. Breakfast option were pretty limited. Bed was comfortable and room was warm. Beautiful view of the mountains.

The Travelodge was just okay. When we arrived there had been a snow/ice storm. The driveway and walkways had been cleared of snow but no salt had been put down. Even the next morning, still no salt so the walkways were treacherous. The room furnishings and decor were tired and the bathroom exhaust was extremely noisy. The woman overseeing the breakfast was very nice. On our return trip we stayed at the Ramada in Wytheville which was nicer and less expensive

Heting?cooling fan problem

The only problem was that the heater/AC unit could not have its fan made set to automatic. I had to get up a couple of times to toggle the fan on/off myself otherwise the room got too hot.

Won’t stay here again.

The room was VERY cold (was 17 degrees that night) Texted the front desk to ask for extra blankets and didn’t hear right back. Got blankets and a small electric heater from our vehicle. The room was average warm by morning. The only thing good about the breakfast was the coffee.

Good for a short stay. Convenient off the interstate and a nice view of the surrounding mountains. We booked a King Room, but the building we were to staying was having a maintenance problem. The Queen Room we were given was nicely remodeled and comfortable. The room door had to be slammed to close and the ice machine was broken. The staff was friendly and helpful. We would definitely stay here again.
