- [ ] Ordered Room service from the listed Brunch menu- I was told definitively they do NOT have a brunch menu even though I was looking right at it. Turns out it was replaced with a xmas menu at beginning of December and it was Dec 27, so my rooms’ menu had not been changed for the whole month. And yet I was made to feel as the one in the wrong? - [ ] Bartender pours wrong beverages, and ordered wrong food, maybe it’s my Canadian accent - I’ll give them that one - [ ] Room service day 2 - ordered listed continental breakfast, was told it was a full welsh breakfast at 5£ more than the listed £8.95. Also was told of a £4.50 tray charge for orders under £20, which is not disclosed in any of the room literature, and I was not charged that fee the day before with my sub £20 breakfast order. Seemed like a money grab and management insisted the charge is well documented in the room - [ ] Desk manager said he would send up the documents containing the tray charge - he did not. Desk manager explicitly asked what kind of juice I wanted, he did not send up any juice with the breakfast. - [ ] 2nd floor ice machine dispenses no ice - [ ] 2nd floor vending does not work with anything - cash, Apple Pay, physical Visa. Keeps saying transaction cancelled

Disappointed.
Good location, staff were very friendly. Hotel was very tired, lots of areas in need of attention, especially the bathrooms. However, the most concerning thing form my point of view was the drama with a broken water pipe in our room. Water was gushing out and filled the room very quickly and when we informed staff it took ages for them to do anything. It felt like no one had a clue what to do and it made the situation much worse. As an emergency services worker I was a concerned that if anything more serious was happening then would they be able to cope? The single beds were very uncomfortable and the bedding didn’t fit properly, so I found difficult to come by. Also, parties on both night of our stay and me mention this was happening when we booked. Noise was intrusive until way past midnight. Not a deal breaker but on top of having to move rooms and all disturbance it was disappointing.

After a long journey - I was looking forward to a good nights rest- room service burger came up quickly and was good- then came the feeling I’d checked into a nightclub- until 1am The guy checking me in asked if I’d had a long journey- I was offered an upgrade to another floor however this was 12.45, I asked if the manager could contact me with no response- room was fine - although starting to look tired , carpet stains and bathroom finishes- breakfast next morning was good and fresh but the reception team member was not equipped to deal with my complaint - I appreciate its the Party season but as lone traveller looking for a good nights sleep I would think twice about using this hotel for future visits to Wrexham which will become more frequent over the next few months

Staff were great but many times the front desk was unmanned and there was no way on getting the staff there. The smoking area is directly outside the main entrance, as there was a birthday party being held there there was a constant crowd smoking. You had to walk throug the smoke coming in or out. There was shouting in the corridors late at night.
