Stayed in for a single night, the staff was friendly and made it easy to check in. The general area around the property had what you needed within walking distance, gas, restaurants and fast food. The rooms were pretty outdated but with the cheap prices to stay here, I’d say its justified. Would recommend here if you're just passing by.

We had a room facing the street so the traffic passing was really noisy. The air conditioning is centrally controlled so it was cold.

Nice enough place, room was a good size. The one meal we had was very good. Dining room staff was very friendly. We had an early plane to catch and as i checked in told this to the front desk worker. We got to sleep at about 10pm. Thats when the entertainment started. A rock band preforming below us. As a courteousy the front desk worker should let guests know this so they get the choice of another room. Overall the stay was good for the amount of time we were there.

Checking in was in the main building with casino and slot machines but stayed in a building across the street right in front of a busy road. Room was OK, somewhat noisy from the cars but we had a good sleep. Breakfast was included but we left to airport at 4am, so no food for us. Beds were comfortable, rooms clean.

I always stay at the Assiniboine Gordon Inn on the Park when I visit Winnipeg. The place has one of my favourite watering holes and the rooms are basic, but clean, with a '60s/'70s vibe. The rooms facing Portage Avenue are loud with windows open (no A/C), but the back ones are quiet. Some partying noise on weekends after the bar closes. Rates are reasonable and you're a short drive to Polo Park Shopping Centre and downtown.

The hotel and restaurant staff were pleasant, friendly and accommodating. Unfortunately the property is older and it appeared that the carpets needed replacing or at the very least cleaned. The furniture is older. Painting might help. I had difficulty with the door locks; the washroom door would not close. There were no security latches; only the door locks.
