Below 50's in age be warned

One member of staff (think planet of the apes with a northern accent) let the side down, temper, fist leant on the table, got the order wrong, generally needs to brush up on hospitality. Not sure the venue appeals to the younger generation. Interesting collection of random leaf hanging :)

Anniversary break - great hotel choice

We had an amazing stay. Wonderful greeting, anniversary treat & personalised message in room that was absolutely spotless. Even the kettle sparkled! Very comfortable bed. Ate dinner in Leaf restaurant. Great welcome from very friendly waiter. Did not get his name but he had slight accent. Waitress with dark hair also very friendly. Brought another anniversary treat! So convenient for the Castle and town centre. Cannot praise the hotel and its lovely staff enough.

Have stayed at the Castle Hotel many times, but on this occasion was allocated a very cold and drafty room on the ground floor of the annexe (#535). The air con was very noisy and suffice to say I didn’t have the best sleep! However, a well located hotel with friendly staff.

The property is noisy. Walls are extremely thin. The comforter and sheets were yellow from bleach and need a new set. There was a hole in the wall, something with a foul smell through the hallways and no lifts to certain rooms.
