Highly recommended

The hotel was very clean and it was quiet although there were quite a few guests. The bed wasn’t super comfortable for me but only bc it was a firm mattress, all the linen was very soft, comfortable and clean. The pool area was very clean and I had the pool and hot tub to myself. The temperatures were absolutely perfect!! The pool was warm like bath water and the hot tub was just right. Free continental breakfast was included and a bottle of water and a bag of cheese-its were left for me in my room. The from had a medium size refrigerator (much larger than most hotels) a microwave and coffee maker. Plenty of clean towels and toiletries. There may have been an odor of marijuana when I first arrived but that dissipated in about an hour (not the hotels fault that people disrespect the rules) There are many food options including a grocery store and mall on right next door. I stayed at the graduate the night before which was more expensive and had less to offer. With hindsight I would have just stayed here both nights and absolutely will next time I have to stay in/around UConn Storrs. There is something I enjoy more about older but updated, hotels with sprawling layouts vs the new style 4 story cookie cutter hotels. It makes for a quitter and more private experience.

Horrible customer service ! Wow !

I arrived to this hotel with my work bag at approximately 3:30 pm . There was no one in reception , i pushed the bell on desk , no one . I had a conference meeting at 4:00 pm so i needed to be settled . I started calling hotel, no answer , i then called customer service and started to tell the operator that i had been waiting for ten minutes . A voice from the door popped out and started screaming at me that it has not been 10 minutes ! And there’s only 3 of them working there and i should understand . I then told her that i was worried about room location from reviews.. she then went on a rampage ! Started yelling that if i didn’t like it to go somewhere else ! That i obviously stayed there because the other hotel is too expensive ! And to tell her if im staying or not ! By this point , i had missed my meeting .. and she said its $250 for incidental security ! I have never ever been verbally attacked like that in a hotel reception .. the only reason i stayed was because it was the closest hotel to UCONN where my daughter attends and the other hotel was $500+ for a Wednesday night . Breakfast included - consisted of Walmart wrapped mini muffins and coffee machine .

The property is clean. The place is quiet. Staff is very friendly and accommodating. Breakfast can be improved. It would be nice if you can serve a variety of breakfast. Like you have butter but there is no bread to toast. A variety of bread, Jam or Peanut butter or something peanut free. Some eggs or sausages, mini pancakes? The fruits were sufficient. The fitness room really needs improvement. For one, don't cram all the exercise machines in such a tiny room. There is a specific measurement or distance from one exercise equipment to the next for safety reasons. The exercise bike does not work. It is jammed!. The elliptical also does not work properly. The Treadmill does not work properly. I tried all the machines and believe me. It is scary to get on them. It is a hazard. It can be a cause of an accident. House keeping staff is very friendly and accommodating. Front desk staff was also very nice, friendly and accommodating. It's a good place to stay and there are good areas around it to choose some variety for dining. The is a grocery/ supermarket very near which is a big plus. In terms of public transportation, not much. There is o taxi service. You definitely need UBER or LYFT to get around

Our stay at Inn on Storrs was amazing. I wasn’t expecting much but I was blown away when I checked in. The staff were friendly and helpful. The room was bigger than I though it would be and clean, as was the rest of the Inn. It’s also very convenient and close to UConn which is a huge plus! I would recommend Inn on Storrs to anyone.

Decent place

It was a decent place, but they don't have queen beds just doubles and their pillows are very uncomfortable. Their breakfast they offer is cereal, fruit and packaged pastries.

We stayed at the Inn at Storr's when visiting University of Connecticut. Pros: Staff were helpful, rooms and lobby were clean, and beds were comfy but small Cons: Hallways were freezing, There were many teenagers hanging out in the hallway and did not seem to be staying at hotel, they monopolized the pool and hot tub area and we did not feel comfortable going into pool or hot tub area, people were smoking weed right by the door and it stunk up the hallways and our room, beds were small Would not stay here again!
