LOTS of high school groups, in our 4 night stay we saw hundreds of kids from all over the US, large busses picking up and dropping off daily. Cold breakfast is charged for whether you eat it or not, over $20 a day. Cheap toiletries and uncomfortable foam pillows, outdated and inadequate A/C. The pool was closed, the putt putt golf and shuffle board were unusable due to lack of maintenance. Great location.

Most of the staff went above and beyond - shout-out to Natalie, who checked us in! Gave us so many good tips for our visit. Property was very nice. Close to the historical Williamsburg - walking distance. Would definitely stay here again!

The location to the visitor center was on the same site as the hotel. The hotel was just a short walk on a trail to colonial Williamsburg. The staff is great and the free breakfast was wonderful. Rooms are big and quiet. Wouldnot hesitate to stay here.

We stumbled onto the Woodlands by chance and BOY WHAT A PERFECT PLACE from which to enjoy Colonial Williamsburg! The room (2, really) was huge with leather sofa and wingback chair, desk, king bed and a TV for each room. Shower was great. Staff were exceptionally helpful and upbeat. It was a beautiful walk into the village. Breakfast was almost all packaged and overrun with junior high and high school kids on spring break tours, but the food was tasty, the coffee hot and tasty and staff kept it coming. The laundry was large, bright and efficient.

It's a wonderful property, located in the woods. Very serene with nature all around. However, the rooms were not cleaned properly from the previous guests. The checkout process was not good. There was only one guy working when there were a large number of guests checking out.
