We loved this place, we went there to visit different places around it most of the time, but if you just want to stay there and enjoy the hotel and surroundings, that's also a great place for.

Reasonably good room. No facial tissues provided, no bathroom countertop space for personal items (I expect at least a 2ft by 3ft space). The rooom had a stale odor to it. Quiet for sleeping which is, for me at least, the most important room feature.

Even though this is an older and smaller motel, the rooms were super clean and the bed was very comfortable. Front desk checkin was easy and Ollie the dog is super friendly. I am always hesitant to stay in smaller motels but was not disappointed in my selection. I think you will find you won’t be either.

Spent a second night. Was able to do the Cabot Trail and the second day The Alexander Graham Bell Historic Site. Nice and quiet motel just 30 minutes drive from Baddeck and cheaper. The Farmer’s Daughter nearby has lovely breakfast.

The staff here are amazing! When we checked in we asked a couple of questions about heading out onto the Cabot Trail and they had great suggestions and recommendations. I would recommend Fair Isle Motel to any friends of family in the area and I would return if I am able to come back.

The motel is in a more remote area but that is what my family likes about it. Friendly staff and two gorgeous dogs who like to say hello. Our room is new. Clean and quiet. Comfortable beds. We decided to stay extra days to do the Cabot Trail, the Alexander Graham Bell homestead and whale watching.
