Front desk staff is friendly. Property is very old, outdated, furniture is scratched, chair is dirty, mattress is hard, bedding is old and grey, bath towel is small, window needs cleaning, window treatments aren’t functional. It’s a two star motel at the best.
Stayed here many years ago and it was nice. Since then it has run down. No upgrades. Restaurant closed. Pool not open. Continental breakfast horrible bag of prepackaged junk food.
The room was ok. Since we had a corner room on the second floor, the view was amazing however the bedroom curtains did not thoroughly cover the window so a slight privacy issue. The sheets were old and off white-grey color with stains on the flat sheet and it felt "pilly" After spending the night in town at the theater, we could not sleep in the room and left the hotel at 11:44pm to get a real hotel room at the Hampton inn across the river in Harriman.
This property needs serious TLC. The furniture was broken, the bedding, curtains, furniture had cigarette burns, the floor needs a GOOD scrubbing, there were holes in the wall, and the bathroom was NOT a representation of what you see online. Old. Broken. Dated. Dirty. At least we had heat and hot water. The front desk rep was very nice. Coffee a nice touch.
The Inn really needs to be updated. The bed was horrible!! The mattress very thin and lumpy. I did not sleep well and woke up with a stiff neck and back. The TV could be better with more channels, and only one lamp worked. You better bring your phone charger because they do not offer USB ports in the lamps or anywhere in the room. The breakfast they offer us a joke ! Brown bag with sugary carbs. The clientele that stays there is not top notch and at times I did not feel safe.

50 years ago, the Inn on the Hudson might have been nice. Now it's pretty run-down and very noisy (both freeway and train noise in addition to some pretty thin walls. Very weak WiFi. We left after one night. I feel badly for giving them a negative review because the front desk staff was very good, but the experience of staying there was far less than I'd hoped.
The views were lovely. Breakfast was welcomed but contents were too sweet, coffee was good though. The room was okay, it would be nice if the bed was more comfortable; a new mattress is definitely needed. The overall furniture could be cleaner. The room smelt old.
Nice location for our venue would like to have coffee in room but weather was fine to walk through parking lot to office. Bag breakfast was added comfort.
