Declining Hotel

I reserved two rooms (307 and 327). The bathroom in room 307 was dirty and we had to get a different room. That was annoying. The hotel is declining and needs more staff. The bedding and furniture was fine. The tubs in the shower were too narrow and made it difficult to take a shower. The road noise was not good. Get a room in the back. The staff was okay. They need more workers. The hotel is on a steep hill in Elmsford, NY. After you park, the walk up the numerous steep stairs was not fun! The breakfast was fine.

Problem solved!

The Hampton was in a super convenient location right off the highway. Only one person at the desk, so a bit of a wait. The room we were given was unsatisfactory because the thermostat was broken and it was very cold. However, I went back to the desk and they said the hotel was very full, but after some finagling, (and patient waiting without rancour), the clerk on duty found us a comfortable upgraded room.

Stopping point for Christmas travel. Employees were very friendly and professional. Hotel was clean and I felt secure. The beds were very comfy! And the hotel was quiet even though it seemed to be close to full occupancy. Enjoyed the free breakfast..... great options!

Had Dinner across the road at the Elderado Diner which never disappoints, then went over to Pete's Saloon but they were having Karaoke so...went back to Hotel and watched Squid Games on my LT because the hotel's TV selection was terrible.

Don’t Stay Here Fleas in Rooms

I’m a loyal Hilton customer and have stayed at many Hampton Inns, but this one was by far the worst. We arrived around 1 a.m. to find trash and crumbs in the elevator and hallways. Our room wasn’t vacuumed, and there was black mold in the shower. Exhausted, we went straight to bed, only to wake up with bug bites all over our legs and arms. My partner had the same issue. We also found black flea droppings in the bed. We decided to check out early, canceling our second night. At the front desk, another guest was complaining about the same issue. We were told to speak to the manager, who emailed us stating a refund would only be issued if fleas were found after an inspection. Despite multiple emails and calls over the next month and a half, we received no follow-up, no inspection, and no refund. I understand things can go wrong, but the lack of communication and accountability was frustrating. This experience was a huge disappointment, especially from a brand like Hilton.
