Lovely stay comfy, clean, friendly staff, unfortunately if looking for a quiet nights sleep though this is not the place. The karaoke bar behind is extemely loud until 3 in the morning.

The property was lovely and clean but the shower didnt work, they gave us an upgrade with a sea view but could not turn off shower and couldnt adjust temperature, maintenance fixed it but said needed new shower, ive emailed the hotel as advised and asked for £100 refund off the 4 night stay but as yet no reply

Property was well situated to all the amenities, staff were very nice. Downside was to close to the lively part of town. Kareoko Bar immediately behind the hotel which closes at 2am and next to two nights clubs. Weatherspoons on the otherside. .

Convenient position on front, difficulty in parking due to large wake being held at premises. Bathroom clean but bedroom needed a deep clean, dust under bed and around skirting boards. Occasional table wouldn’t stand level, dressing table needs tlc and wardrobe needs attention, extremely noisy to open/close. Floor was sloping but realise it was probably due to age of hotel. But we were only there for one night. Cooked breakfast was nicely cooked and presented. Would have been nice to welcome us to the dining room and tell us what was where and of what was to be expected instead of us having to ask other guests.

Royal hotel

The heating was not on in the hotel. As it was cold on the evening the receptionist supplied us with a convecter heater. Top marks for a very helpful receptionist. The towels were rather thin and hard. I would have expected thick, fluffy towels. The breakfast was very good with a nice menue.. However, I would prefer to help myself instead of waitress service. This may have been due to not many people staying there.
