My friend and I loved the smell of the hotel when we walked in! So nice after a long drive, the lobby screamed sit here and let your cares melt away. Beautiful and definitely intimate inviting feel. Staff was so nice and welcoming. Roof top bar was great with tasty drinks and great food. Very walkable area, restaurants and shopping, easy parking. I paid for a spot in front of the hotel door. It is worth the extra $45 per night. Literally steps from the door. The twin bed room is small but fine for what we needed it for. Bathroom is great with good space. Provided soaps, shampoo and conditioner. Keurig, Amazon echo show, and TV. Uber was easy to get to see the sites. HINT: Old Ebbitt Grill is the place to see and be seen! Make reservations! There were a few things to be aware of however. There is very little noise insulation. I definitely recommend bringing ear plugs or headphones. Our stay overall was wonderful and I will definitely rebook at Hotel Nell when I visit DC again!

Pretty boutique hotel in a convenient location near many dining options and just a 10 min walk from the metro. The hotel is pretty and well maintained and I overall enjoyed my stay. The only reasons I am not providing an overall 5 star experience is because my room was not cleaned over the entirety of my stay and that the hotel rooms are not properly insulated for noise, one can hear your next door neighbors having conversations or their very loud tv, same from anyone talking or just walking by in the hallway.

The style and aesthetic of the property was super cute, modern and eclectic. The rooftop bar/restaurant was great and super convenient. The staff was helpful and polite. Parking was a challenge as we had a large pickup truck that didn't fit in the deck we were told to park in. Other than that, the bed tilted down at the head which we didn't realize until the morning and both woke up feeling a bit funky. Overall though, the rooms were very nice, spacious, updated and well-decorated. We would absolutely stay here again.

Awesome boutique hotel. Decor in public space and guest rooms are very welcoming and comfortable. The main lobby and small outdoor balcony near elevator is the perfect place to sit and read, have a conversation or as I did waterpaint. The area is definitely a foodie adventure so many places to choose from. The Treehouse and cafe on site are very good. I recommend reservations for the Treehouse, the 2 times (5:30pm Wednesday &Thursday) I stopped in for an early dinner I was informed they had only bar seating. All the tabels were reserved. I was there about an hour and a half and only 3 tables has guests. Food is good and the waitstaff are pleasant and attentive.

We love staying at this property when we are in Washington, DC. We love the proximity to Union Market and the ability to walk or take the metro almost anywhere. The price is very reasonable for this area and they allow dogs. The rooms are pretty small but we don't spend much time in them anyway.
