Check in got off to a very rough start. My wife and I parked in the front area to unload our luggage, check-in, and take our bags to the room 313. We then used the bathroom and prepared to leave to go to our daughters house where we park the car. As we were about to exit the room (not quite 15 minutes after we checked in) there was a knock at our door. It was a man we had seen in the lobby that was not wearing a uniform or outfit identifying him as a Yotel employee. I opened the door and asked 'how can I help you? Without ever introducing or identifying himself he demanded in a loud voice, "What are you going to do about that car!! You need to move your car you can't park there!!!" Flustered we responded that we were just checking in and on our way to move it". This didn't seem to help as he aqain demanded to know " How long are you going to leave it there!!! It can't be parked there it's blocking (it was not blocking in ANY other cars) We told him we were on our way out! We then proceeded back to the lobby and in the process ended up on the same elevator. He then said "Well , its not a problem you don't have to move it this minute!!" At this point we were upset and said Yes, this apparently is a problem! A terrible problem and we were leaving anyway!!! We noticed on our way out that there no other guests checking in or vehicles we were blocking. We apologize for this gross inconvenience and I assure it will not happen again!

Everything was excellent, I was very clean and I had all the amenities that I needed. I was within walking distance for shopping and sightseeing, great location. Staff were very friendly and welcoming. Would stay again for sure.

Very safe secure and centrally located. Friendly staff. The room was modern and clean. Had difficulty with their room light system- the room seemed dark. One suggestion is thicker bed blankets for winter. I felt like i was sleeping with a sheet- it was cold.

It was strange to only have bath towels and hand towels but no wash rags. Staff was ok. They would answer questions, but not really warm or friendly. Room lighting seemed like it would be cooler than it was. Not the easiest to use. Convenient location though, walkable to many museums and also the capitol. For adults who don’t mind walking, you can even go to the Washington memorial or the Lincoln memorial. But that is not what I’d consider just a few blocks away, you’ll walk miles to get there and back. But it’s easy to get caught up in so many places to go that it’s easy to do the distance. Just make sure to bring good walking shoes.
