What a delightful boutique hotel. We were not expecting this level of hospitality for such a reasonable price. We were welcomed with open arms by the front desk staff. Kara and Sunam got us oriented to Foggy Bottom and even taught us how to use the Metro. Late night pizza here is a must. Max works the late shift and makes sure the guests have all their needs met. Breakfast was simple and delicious. Checkout with James was a breeze. He even escorted us to the rooftop terrace and gave us a little local history lesson (as a GWU alum, he knows whereof he speaks). Brooke very kindly stored our baggage and retrieved it for us while we waited for our ride and ordered one more gourmet pizza for the road (mushroom truffle with chicken). This hotel is perfectly situated in Foggy Bottom, within walking distance to all the Memorials, the Kennedy Center and the infamous Watergate Hotel. Everything you need is right here at The Hive!

The customer service was top notch! Max and James were amazing!! The bartenders were also great!! The PIZZA was DELICIOUS!!! The location was perfect and easy to walk to surrounding areas to dine. The hotel was clean. The rooms are very small. I found out the history of the building that it was once a women’s shelter which answered the size of the rooms. Overall it was a great stay!

Mother daughter overnight

Our mother daughter stay was great. The hotel is near a subway and there is a restaurant right downstairs next door ( although we didn’t eat there. The bed, linen, towels were all very good. The room was small but totally manageable for. 2 people for a short stay. We did choose the king bed loft as it was a little bigger than others. Best part was the staff who were all super nice and helpful. Only complaint was the shower. Water pressure was only fair and the. Temperature was nothing more than lukewarm. The staff offered to send engineering up to fix it but we got in late night and left the next am so there was no time. Only an issue because we arrived cold from being out all day in deep winter weather. We would stay here again! BTW- much more fun than a Marriott!

Very nice place to stay, just on the south side of George Washington University campus. A short 4-5 block walk to the Foggy Bottom subway station. Close parking. Room was a little small, but no problem for a short stay. Breakfast at the Hive Bar was excellent.

ALL THE BUZZ

THE STAY WAS JUST FINE. EVERYHTING I NEEDED WAS THERE, AND WHEN I HAD TO EXTEND MY STAY TWICE, THE HOTEL AND STAFF WERE MORE THAN HAPPY TO HELP OUT. I WOULD RECOMMEND THIS LOCATION TO ALL WHO HAVE BUSINESS WITH THE PASSPORT AGENCY, AND TO ANYONE WHO WANTS A GREAT PLACE TO STAY IN DC.
