Very nice neighborhood, close to the zoo and metro. The staff is friendly and helpful, the room is acceptable. I did not like the extra $25/night for parking and the extra $15/night for microwave mini-fridge which makes the total cost per night $40 more, much less attractive than the ticket price.

Great area, super close to Van Ness train station, easiest and fastest way to get around town! Hotel is decent, but needs a lot of updates/renovations. personally I think a mini-fridge needs to be added to the room I brought some yogurts and other snacks that needed to be refrigerated and ended it getting spoiled. Bed and pillows were very comfortable and room size was decent

This is a good place to stay if you're on a budget. It's located conveniently a five-minute walk from the Van Ness-UDC metro station on the Red Line.

We were able to check in a bit early, which was great. The location is very close to a subway station and the area felt safe. The bed was comfy. It’s an old hotel. The carpets were dirty, especially around the corners of rooms and hallways. The baseboards in the hallways and rooms were dirty and/or missing. No coffee in our room, you need to go down to the lobby. The price was high for what we got.

This property needs a major update. To many older fixtures and decor, interiors very worn out. Elevators and ice machine out periodically in my 4 day trip. Staff was fine .

The Days Inn on Connecticut Ave is a little dated but the rooms were comfortable. Everything you could need was within walking distance. A great Italian restaurant is attached to the hotel as well as other unique rars within one to two blocks. A Walgreens was also close and if you are looking to explore the city, the WMTA was a five minute walk away.

Basic but ok hotel

This is a hotel that is no frills and provides your basic needs. We stay here because it is close to where family lives and they offer decent prices. Staff has always been nice and helpful and we have been able to leave our luggage after check out with no issues. There are a few restaurants across the street ranging from pizza and Thai to a bit more upscale. There's also a great bakery on the same side of the street. It's also close to a Metro stop.

The staff were great. We were able to keep our bags secured behind the front desk since early check in wasn't available. One of the elevators was out of service and the other one got stuck on the day we checked out. The TV in the room wasn't the best and had some picture issues, but the channel line up was good. Check in and check out were great. The room and hotel were clean. In a great location. I would stay again.

The maids were very nice. The towels and the room itself were clean. The hallways were not. The front desk staff was ambivalent. The coffee was terrible. The location was very good, right near the metro. For the price I would stay there again.
