The staff were so friendly and helpful and the place was mostly clean. The only annoying things were the mosquitos in the lobby and needing to constantly go to the lobby to borrow the hair dryer as it is not kept in the room. But everything else was great

Location very good Service in breakfast line needs improvement : not efficient to make nearby front desk agent do double duty , that is , leaving front desk with no one there to help guests needing assistance. Also Generator should make coffee drinks such as lattes in a bigger size .

Convenient to Dupont Circle Metro stop and a nearby Walgreens for sundries. Unfortunately, the hotel caters to extremely large student groups. We stayed 4 days in two separate stays. Several dozen students slammed doors, screamed and yelled in the hallways, ran up and down the stairwells, & played in the elevators. We had to call the desk to send a chaperone up to intervene at 10:45 pm and again at 6:45 am. The students' rooms were 10 doors down from us, but they slammed the doors so loudly that the lights in our room flickered when they slammed...... 70+ times! One night someone knocked on our door long after we were sound asleep and then ran. Students should be isolated on separate floors from regular guests. It is a very basic hotel and hostel, but beds were great, margaritas, tacos, and guac and chips were tasty. Good AC/heat in the room. No refrigerator. Outside upstairs patio is nice for sitting in the evening unless it is overrun with students, monopolizing the space .... LOUD and boisterous with insufficient supervision. There should be some type of plastic or paper cups in the rooms for brushing teeth etc. The staff is simply wonderful....welcoming and kind ....but we would not stay here again unless staff could GUARANTEE our room location is well above floors with student rooms.....it was pretty awful.
