This hotel needs updating and a realistic understanding of what is customary in the hospitality industry. Things like charging for non-returned keys are so outside of the industry norm.

Windows were dirty with bugs between glass and screen; carpet didn’t look like it had been vacuumed; bathroom hadn’t been updated for 40 years. The bedroom had a sofa with a black slip cover, two upholstered chairs and a brown duvet on the bed. I felt doubtful that the duvet had been cleaned or the upholstered chairs and sofa. All those places for other people's germs made me uneasy. The AC was noisy.

Our primary reason for visiting Walker was a family emergency. The walker hotel fit our needs perfectly. It is conveniently located, clean safe and the friendly staff made what we were going through just a little bit easier.

Stayed here for a long weekend. Turns out walker was having a town celebration. Hotel is just a five minute walk from downtown. Had a blast. Hotel was full but never heard a thing. Jimmy’s breakfast next door is amazing. Shingobees on the lake is also good
