Wonderful in so many ways. Great kick off to our vacation with lots of fun things to do. Breathtaking grounds and world class Asian art and sculpture everywhere. Favorite activity was snorkeling in the lagoon; the fish were gorgeous and one family member had a memorable encounter with a gentle sea turtle. Housekeeping staff is amazing and helpful. Love the proximity to the Queens shoppes and the marketplace with delicious inexpensive food to take away. Suggestion: turn the Nui Nui (sp?) Italian restaurant at the hotel into a casual (affordable) breakfast diner in the morning. The breakfast buffet is amazing, but at $55 per person it is not a realistic place to grab breakfast daily. In all, we can’t wait to return to the Hilton Waikaloa and stay at the Makai Tower with its inspiring views and spacious rooms.

We absolutely love being at Hilton Wiakola Village. We were in the palace tower, and the only disappointment was that we didn’t know they were renovating rooms and repairing the fountain also. We had the best room with a balcony overlooking beautifully manicured gardens. I’ve been there at least four times but I brought my older sister who had never been there before because I knew that she would appreciate the layout. It is like strolling through an outdoor museum. We splurged two times during the week on the breakfast buffet and it was wonderful and the staff was so friendly. Me and my sister are going to start saving for our next trip there. I don’t know why, But I didn’t know about the complementary Photos and bracelet making classes. Another guest formed us about the photo and classes and we made memories and friends. I’m 74 and my sister is 75 so we will try to get back within two years Or less. Billie at the front desk was so welcoming.

The property was great. We arrived early and was able to check in and get into our room prior to arrival. The room was great, just wish they had microwaves inside the unit. But there was a microwave a short walk away. Overall, we enjoyed the property and the views were amazing. We enjoyed watching the dolphins in the morning, and the ocean view was amazing. I’m glad we stayed here, and we will be back again.

Location is great and the property is very expansive. I do wish the Palace Tower had its own laundry center and parking is extremely expensive. Also wish the Nui restaurant was opening for lunch.

Heavy construction in Palace tower
We were given a room in the Palace tower. There was heavy construction going on. Loud noise all day and welding / burning smell. If we knew about the construction we would have booked elsewhere. Resort is beautiful and staff is friendly.

Not personable at all after check in. Staff would walk by and never greet us. No real food options on site or in convenient locations. Getting to and from the parking lot was a pain with having to go up and down diff elevators to get to the right floor. A resort fee for what? 2 bottles of water on our check in day and we stayed 7 nights. $50 a day in parking and they still want to charge you $5 one way trip for shuttle to the marketplace? Only real nice thing was the large pool that stayed open till 10pm every night.

For a Hilton hotel it was run down. The boats were not running, the tram cars A/C was not working and there was very few dinning choices. I would never stay there again.

We’ve been to Hawaii 5 times and this was our first time staying at a resort and were blown away. The rooms were really nice, the property is beautiful and well kept, all the staff we encountered were friendly, and the pool and lagoon were amazing!! Dining was a little limited but all good. We would stay here again and definitely recommend it!
