This property was masked by an air freshener. It was overpriced at $330 a night when it was set up like less than a motel. The place smells as if it was just taken from underwater and it is drying out. The curtains were filled with mildew so much so the inside was eaten away. No staff at the facility to discuss challenges with. I had to cut my trip short.
I had a trip with my mother planned for the first time in almost 7 years. We were scheduled to arrive on the 19th. That day the crowdstrike meltdown happened. I tried calling to explain the situation and the person at the desk couldn’t care less. He was completely uninterested and couldn’t be less helpful. I called several more times and it was the same level of rudeness. When I was finally able to get a person on the line at Hotels.com (and this took days). They cancelled the reservation after hotels.com got involved. They said they would refund me, ad still have not. Basically this hotel will treat you horribly in an extremely stressful situation that is beyond your control and never refund you.
Hotel was easy to find off of the Vineyard Haven SSA port. I took my car over. Staff was very friendly and helpful. There is a full kitchen and living room for all guests to use. Small fridge in the room. Room and beds were small, but that is what we selected. Plenty of parking also.
Still unclear if it was a hotels.com error or a Harbor Landing issue.
I had a room booked for 6/21-23/2024. When I went to confirm the reservation and check in process, (I was already en-route to the island) I was told that they had different dates and that they did not have availability for me. I had to scramble to find a new room-which ended up costing me a whole lot of money that I didn’t intend on paying. I believe I have a refund being issued for my ‘non stay’ at Harbor Landing. But this was a HUGE inconvenience and had my family been with me-a disaster.
I could go on….
Only got a ‘token’ credit from hotels.com.

Liked: Cleanliness, staff & service
Disliked: Amenities
Overall it was a good stay. The rooms could use some updating for sure - the curtains had holes in them and the furniture was outdated. With that said, everything was very clean and staff was friendly. Our room was ready early which was great. The one downside was that the hotel was not able to hold our luggage after checkout which made the rest of the afternoon difficult logistically while we were waiting for the ferry.
My hotel stay was wonderful. The price for fall season was not over priced. Staff was friendly And very knowledgeable of the area for restaurant and place to go in town.. Rooms were little outdated for the times. But was kept very clean. Great outside patio and meeting area with gas grills for cooking. The Stop Shop Grocery store walking Distance. Everything is very close to the hotel that you may need..
Natalie the manager was the best thing about this property. She went above and beyond to assist. She made our stay more tolerable with her great customer service. However, the property itself is old and not a resort in the slightest way. The rooms were small and there was an odor that smelled like a porta-potty throughout the building and in my room. But I couldn’t open the window because my original room was next to the outdoor lounge deck which ridiculously allows guests to smoke there. So cigarette smoke comes right into your room if the window is open. So no fresh air was available. I’m 5’4 and didn’t need a shower cap because the showers are so low I didn’t have to worry about getting my hair wet. There’s a rod to hang your clothes as long as you are just hanging up short shirts because there was a dresser underneath the rod. The mattress on my twin bed sank so low on one side that I had to fight not to fall off the bed. I was not at all looking for luxury (the basics work for me), but I would not recommend this hotel even though it’s in a great location with a nice staff. The staff can only do but so much with what they have. This property needs a major renovation and should remove “Resort” from its name.
Lots of mold, my husband and I got sick from the mold. They really need to update the hotel to get flooring that’s mold resistant. The dirty old carpet is really disgusting.
