The staff are very welcoming and attentive. The hotel itself is steeped in history and despite it's age, is very modern and well maintained. With easy access to the inner harbour, the Empress makes for a very easy getaway to experience the charm of Victoria.

This is the second Fairmont we have stayed gold lounge and it was stunning as usual. Christmas decorations were top drawer. Service from every single staff member was superb. Walking distance to cafes, restaurants, museum, sites. Central location to many activities. My only criticism Was the bathroom was too small. Not enough room to step out of the shower. I had a corner room so not sure if that was why. Love Fairmont!
