Ideally located near the habour in Victoria, this quaint hotel offered everything in the way of amenities and an incredible hot buffet breakfast every morning. It exceeded our expectations and we would definitely stay here again if we came back to Victoria.

The staff at the breakfast and front desk were so friendly and welcoming. Breakfast had a good variety of hot and cold foods. Also was in a nice dining room setting. The room was roomy. The decor was a bit dated but overall with the location, was a good choice for us.

The hotel’s reception and dining staff are exceptionally well-mannered and provide excellent assistance. The breakfast buffet is highly commendable. However, the housekeeping department could improve its efficiency. The noise level during room cleaning is excessive, and the staff’s voices and banging sounds are clearly audible to guests still in the room.They're cleaning the room next to us. It would be beneficial for the housekeeping team to be more considerate of the occupants of other rooms.

Decent place to stay downtown

Perfect location downtown near the harbour. The building is older- and with the tea place in front looks Lovely. Unfortunately elevators took forever nearly at all times and were slow. Check-in took awhile too as everyone checking it at same time and only 2 agents. Breakfast mediocre- but was included. Rooms unfit could hear lots from the neighbours, or from kids running in hall. But the room we had was spacious, loft that had a big bed.

Though well maintained and clean, the property’s too old that you could literally hear the next door and the room on top of us whenever they flush the toilet. It’s too loud that it could wake you up in the middle of the night. Every night between 9 pm-10pm we couldn’t settle to sleep because of the loud foot steps outside our room and the room on top of us. Free breakfast and food was good. But there was no microwave in our room. I never bothered to check before booking too, my bad, but I think it was not worth for what we paid for. We also have to pay separately for parking in each day of our stay. The room assigned to us was in the 2nd floor, and there was no elevator to that floor. Front desk staff are friendly but Nobody helped us carry our luggage to our room as well. Dining staff are excellent and are the only one that we actually like about our stay. Otherwise the location is excellent as it is near downtown and front of harbour.

Historic hotel in a great location. Comfortable bed and clean room but the futon that serves as a couch is very uncomfortable. No outdoor space so don’t plan on spending much time in the suite other than sleeping. Good basic breakfast buffet was nice though

This was our second stay at this hotel. The first round we had a great room with a nice couch. The second time I thought we had been down graded but the rooms were the same as far as level goes. The second room had no deck and no couch but a futon which was almost unbearable to sit on.

Hotel location was amazing, ocean view, walkable to several points of interest, harbour nearby. Very good breakfast, friendly staff, amazing service. I would book again for our next visit to Victoria.
