We originally booked a room called the Buckingham- everything was on the same level. However, the day before we arrived, we were asked if we would switch to a different room with a loft. Since we were told that it was an upgrade, we didnt hesitate and accepted the offer. However, it ended up as a down grade for us in our view. In hindsight, I wish we never accepted the hotel's offer to upgrade. Not only was the bed in a loft with lots of stairs ( which we knew ahead) but we were disappointed that we had no tv up in the loft. . Another issue was the air conditioning- it was difficult to cool the upper level where our bed was located so it was warm making it difficult to sleep. Although we complained, nothing was resolved. So a loft room is NOT AN UPGRADE. However, the location of the hotel was great and the free breakfast was good.
