I’ve always stayed at this property. This time I was put in a room right by the elevators which I could have done without. The bathroom ceiling was too small and the paint was peeling off the ceiling. Other than that it was great!

Really enjoyed the location of this property. It’s easy to walk anywhere downtown Victoria from here, yet is tucked away in a quiet location. The hotel itself is nicely kept up and rooms are very clean. My only complaint would be it seemed they gave us one of their least desirable rooms because we booked on Expedia. Even though the hotel is large and has many rooms and we were staying in a quiet day (the hotel was not busy) they gave us a room on a low floor with the roof right out the window blocking any view. It was right beside the elevator and the mechanical room which made things a bit more noisy than normal. I’ve stayed in the same type of room just in a different location in the hotel and it is much nicer. It seems they kept their worst rooms aside for Expedia even though they had better available. Just something to be aware of when booking, it was disappointing. I would definitely stay again, it was worth the $. And again you can’t beat the location.

Have stayed here many times and has always been a favorite property . This stay unfortunately was not the best . But not the Hotels fault . The first night we had a noisy group next to our room (12:45am) and had to phone the front desk . Apparently security was called but not convinced . The next night / morning the same room was up at 5:30am and woke us up. Loud for an hour plus. Again phoned front desk to ask them to PLEASE ask this room to quiet down. Again not sure that happened . 2 night stay / 2 terrible sleeps . Unfortunate as we really like this property and plan to support again.
