We had difficulty finding the hotel and I believe it wa sPaul from the front desk came and found us at the château and guided us to the hotel. They lent us an outlet converter since the one we brought did not work. Not all the staff spoke great English

Some stars are missing!

We stayed jn McGallery le Louis Hotel for 3 nights as we wanted to visit Versailles at our own pace. The hotel is beautiful and has some wow factors, the style and decorations however are too corporate and does not feel cosy. The service is touch and go, some good and some bad but definitely not matching the high quality service i was expecting. Breakfast was ok and again it did not match my expectations, if you have breakfast in the last hour prepare to find not much left. The hot food was not great either, bacon was hard as a rock, sausages were bad quality and scrumbld eggs was more an omelette. Cleaning again was basic, the room we stayed had marks on the wall, the mattress cover and the bed sheet was too small so it was moving around when sleeping. Very annoying! The cleaner kept entering the room without even knocking on the door. Slightly arrogant and definitely unprofessional ! Location is great but we have several other hotels nearby that are definitely cheaper and looked cosier. I have left with mixed feelings about this place but i wouldnt stay here if backnin Versailles as i did not feel looked after or pampered. Also dont forget they will charge you a deposit at check in, in our case 1000 euros for 3 nights, the rooms price was much lower though.
