The Good: - Clean and modern hotel - Pleasant staff - Nice architecture The Okay: - Breakfast buffet The Bad: - no hotel sign anywhere so you have to guess if you're in the right spot - no toiletries aside from soap mounted on the wall. - the spa is closed during the week - the artificial turf around the property is all wrinkled and looks cheap - the pool was closed during the week while I was there mid-June

Give it a miss
Although the room was comfortable enough, and the area useful for travelling between Verona and Venice, there were many points about the hotel which were disapointing. Upon arrival the two reception staff were rude and made us feel unwelcome. They did not even smile. Secondly, the hair dryer in the bathroom would cut out after a couple of minutes of use and take the air conditioning out with it. It would then randomly power back up 10 minutes later. Finally, after leaving the hotel, my partner whom with I was staying with, discovered unmistakable bed bug bites on her legs. Overall we were very unsatisfied with our stay at hotel stadio.

Be sure you book the room at the new Hotel Stadio building and not in the run-down old part! The room cost €6 / night more, but I believe is worth it!

It's ok for one night - if you have no other choice. No receptionist if you have to leave early, before 8am. Is that a hotel actually?? No english speaking staff. I saw only one person, elderly woman, the "receptionist". Weird.

Highly recommended if happy to stay outside Verona
A great cheaper option with happy-to-accommodate owners. However, this hotel is a 20min train journey, or a €50 cab (!) from Verona. We simply got in too late as the last train from Verona to San Bonifacio is around 10.30pm and we missed it because of connections. The cab fare hurt but, if you can avoid that, it's a great little hotel and a nice little residential village. A brilliant Market which we suspect is monthly. The train is regular and quick. A v good budget option. Super clean and comfortable, and they were v happy to give us beers outside and turn the tele on to watch an international football game. Nice simple breakfast with bread, meats, cheese, tea/coffee and heavy on the sweet stuff (which is standard here)!
