We stayed at this property on May 31. Our room was located on the ground floor. Around 4 a.m., we experienced a very disturbing and alarming incident: someone attempted to enter our room. To our shock, they were able to unlock the front door. Fortunately, the safety latch prevented them from coming in. Then, the same person went around and successfully opened the back door. My wife had to physically hold the door shut and shout, which caused the intruder to flee. We reported the incident to the front desk. They took note of our complaint, but what deeply concerns us is how the individual managed to unlock doors that are supposed to be accessible only by key card.

Royal Hotel in Loydminster has the friendliest service in the town! Very clean and comfy! I wouldn't go anywhere else in Loyd!!!!

The Royal is a down to earth hotel - rooms are reasonably spacious & very clean. Parking is easy. For an inexpensive, convenient stay it’s perfect.

The staff were amazing, the room was nice and clean and well stocked with everything including a kettle and Keurig. The fact that we could enter from outside and park right in front of our door was bonus. The restaurant was good for supper and the grab and go bags from the hotel in the morning were excellent. Highly recommend and will definitely stay again when through Lloydminster.
