Conveniently located and the front desk staff was very friendly and hospitable. Was there over the weekend to run the marathon and they were really nice to make a pot of coffee and toast my bagels Disappointed with the facilities in the room. The conditioner wasn’t restocked and there wasn’t any hot water in the morning. We had to call in and the staff was unaware and it took a couple of hours to fix the issue. Hope they are more on top of things in the future

All of the staff were very helpful and friendly. A bit out dated, in the middle of upgrading property, most importantly was the cleanliness of the room and premises. The furniture in the room we stayed in was comfy, clean & noisy. I would recommend this property, as well as stay here again once the renovations are done.

Is hot water and politeness too much to ask?

No hot water & rude front desk service. Construction trucks blocked guests from parking, in one case a worker was standing by his truck on his laptop, occupying the only available space. I had to call the front desk to get him to move

My biggest issue was that there is a carwash directly across the street from the hotel that seemed to run all night, and was very noisy. Even when the car wash was quiet there was a lot of noise from people walking by outside. I think they just need better soundproofing in the walls! The main beds were ok, but the couch and chairs were old and saggy and the pullout couch was bad, even given the low expectations I would normally have for a hide a bed! We ended up putting the mattress on the floor (we have two teenagers who prefer not to share a bed!) and putting one of our camping mattresses on top of it. When we visited (April 2025) the front desk and breakfast area were under construction, and apparently had been for some time. They were giving out bagged breakfast with seriously bad pastries, or you could choose a $5 voucher for Weinerschnitzel. Hopefully the renovation will be completed soon, and this will no longer be such a disappointment. I will say that the staff were very friendly, and did there best in a tough situation.

Solid stay despite construction

We were surprised upon arrival to find the front doors blocked off with a sign saying to go around the building - turned out the lobby was under construction and the front desk was in a room on the first floor. The breakfast included with the room was therefore changed to a "grab and go" bag or a voucher to a fast food place a few doors down. We were a little miffed that no mention of this construction was made in any of our communications with the hotel. It wasn't terrible, but it was an inconvenience, and the way they propped open the outside side door so people could find the office didn't make me feel very safe. However, it was very clean, the staff was super nice and the location for Channel Islands was great. The day we left, they were opening the new lobby up! We'd stay again now that the construction is done.

Great beach area

Stayed in the area as my son is in school at the navy base in Port Hueneme. We stayed in the 2 room suite, rooms and living area was spacious and clean. 5 minute walk to the beach and about 15 minute walk to the cute shopping area by beach with many restaurants to choose from. The breakfast lounge was being renovated so breakfast option was a decent to go option or a voucher to Weinersnetzel which had very good breakfast options. Only negative is the sofa bed and arm chair could use an update, not very comfortable.

We visited last September and thought we would try again because we thought the remodeling would be done. Wrong! It's in the same condition. Hard to find check-in which is located in a room, frustrated staff, microwave breakfast sandwich or Der Weinersnitzel coupon. Old furniture, wet carpet, sad decor. Off the freeway so it is noisy.

Overall the accommodations were good. The front lobby is under construction so we always had to enter through a side entrance and get buzzed in after 11p. But the staff was very warm and accomodating.
