The hotel is wonderful & beautifully located with spectacular views of the ocean - especially during our fabulous dinner. Although the room was on the smaller side and slightly worn a dated, it was comfortable and the bed was clean & firm. My only complaint, upon first entering the room the smell of cleaning chemicals was a bit unpleasant.

Horrible bedding, It was like air mattress, we couldn't sleep all nights. The room smelled very bad, it was humid and moldy. The room was really noisy too. The breakfast was not good enough at all!The only positive point was that the hotel by the ocean. High rating of the hotel is only because of its view by the ocean.

The view was peaceful and inspiring , along the coastline between cliff lines. The sound of waves was in the background could be heard as you fall asleep. No elevators which is common for many hotels on the coast. The shoals restaurant has wonderful fresh entrees and desserts for a celebratory occasion. $$ Fine wine available$$ but little variety for cocktails. $ 25 -30 min from Santa Barbara easy on access to highway. 30 min from Airport. Very convenient.

A Room with a Spectacular View
A unique place right on the Ocean with spectacular views from all rooms over the pool and into the waves. A beach you can walk on during low tide. The rooms themselves are meh. Not great decor, old, squeaky bed, low grade uncomfortable pillows. The Shoals restaurant is very good.

This hotel , the food and the staff along with the view were absolutely AMAZING. The room was clean and quaint enough for us; although a coffee maker might have been nice 🤔. The only issue I have with this hotel is the parking, not that there isn’t enough or the hotel is doing anything wrong. People who park their vehicles at this hotel do not understand that the vehicle goes in between the white lines!! If the parking stalls are straight, that does not mean you park at an angle!! When you are unable, incapable, or just don’t care to park your Toyota Prius the correct way, all hope is lost.
