Lovey clean & tidy hotel Excellent location close to the train station, but just off the main thoroughfare so very peaceful. Room was furnished to a very good standard. Breakfast very good with lots of options. Would definitely recommend to family & friends.

Hotel room was very clean with great location. Staff were friendly and accommodating for an early check in. Also provided us with an earlier breakfast to take away for an early check out. Location was great and close to everything. Would highly recommend this hotel.

Perfect hotel for us. Convenient to train station, vaporetto stops and Grand Canal. Clean and comfortable. AC turned on May 15, FYI. Good breakfast, helpful staff.

The hotel was beautiful, some rooms were more updated than others. It was right in the middle of the down town. The desk services were friendly and there is an elevator. The breakfast was great. I would definitely stay there again.

Our room was clean but the bathroom was old and smelled very musty. The shower didn’t get hot. Our friend had another room and her bathroom was renovated and nice but there was mold in the corner of her shower. The breakfast was good and friendly service.

Good base to explore the city, really well located for train and bus station, which is exactly what we needed for our stay. 100 metres from Grand Canal and water bus. Very clean and tidy room, very quiet but plenty of restaurants, cafes and bars on the doorstep.

The room was great for the 2 days we stayed at Venice. However there are some disconnect feom what the property offers that are not listed. The site states that it has AC which it does, however what it doesnt state is when and if AC are can be turned on. Whwn i requested for the AC i was told that they can not turn it on because the "city" did not provided with approval to operate the facility AC units. So the site is not transparent with the AC. I would reccomend to call the hotel and verify that the AC are functional for you stay. If not, get ready for some warm nights.

I was not impressed with the hotel for the price I paid. It is a basic hotel. The location from the train station was excellent. Our room did not feel clean and the amenities were poor. Outside on their sign it says two stars. It is better than that but we were disappointed.

I chose this hotel because it said there was an elevator and air conditioning. Even after going up the elevator, we still had to walk up and down several steps in order to enter the room. There was no air conditioning, and temperature was over 80 degrees Fahrenheit. We had to leave windows open with no screens in place allowing millions of mosquitoes in the room. I was bitten so badly I now require medical attention from this. I am entitled to full or partial refund based on the very poor conditions of this hotel.

No air conditioning

This is a quality hotel however, the owners do not seem to care about the comfort of the guests. The temperature in our room was 26C or 78F but management refused to turn on the A/C as it was too early in the season supposedly. Guess they haven’t heard about global warming. Did not enjoy ourselves as slept poorly both nights. Would not recommend.

The priority objective of any hotel should be ensuring your guests have a good comfortable sleep, or at least providing all of the infrastructure to give them every chance at sleep. But here at the Maggior Consiglio hotel in Venice, that goal seems to have been forgotten. We booked two rooms for our family … placed on different floors, and quickly discovered no air conditioning in either room. To be clear, they have access to air conditioning but it was locked out and turned off. Our room was on the 4th floor and the room never fell below 26c. Additionally, no fans provided so zero air circulation. It felt like sleeping in a closet. We tried opening a window but aside from the fact that the alley below provided no air movement, it was also very noisy. Adding to the discomfort, guests on our floor decided it was a good idea to return to the hotel at 130 am yelling and slamming doors. Admittedly I enjoyed slamming my own door at 8 am when I discovered those guests were asleep in the room beside us! Breakfast was decent … standard buffet with breads cheeses meats, juice and coffee. Proximity to the train station was a goal and for this, it was a convenient location

This hotel is located in a good spot but even though they advertise that the rooms have air-conditioning but it was not working. When we asked the staff they said they don't start it until mid May. This is faults advertising and made our stay unconformable and restless.

Location convenient but room average

Near railway station in a small street. It was remodeled from an old building. It has elevator and breakfast is good. But room is small and smells old building. Air-conditioning is not working, we had to open windows to lower the room temperature.

Great quiet location but super convenient for train station, vaporetto, shops and restaurants. Staff were friendly enough and breakfast fine. Rooms were clean and comfortable but pretty small, especially the bathroom. Would stay here again though as we didn’t spend much time in the room
