We originally booked go stay 5 nights- checked out early on the 4th night. The air condition isn’t available in winter- the room was absolutely boiling hot & stuffy. The staff on the second night gave us 2 fans and said they’ll put the heating completely off the next day- they didn’t. When the staff added another fan - it caused a power cut and blew the socket- this meant we didn’t have a cool minibar as there wasn’t another socket available to plug it in. We travelled with our 1.5yr old - we couldn’t store his milk on the fridge & ruined our experience. Though the staff did offer us another room- out of the main building. Which was unsuitable as the stairs were unsafe for our pram/ toddler.

When check in, they told me my booking is not included breakfast. I booked 3 hotels in this Italy trip, I won’t book it without breakfast, but the answer I got was because I book through Expedia not their website, they don’t know why. Okay I misunderstood the breakfast. No problem. So they gave me only one key and said, we upgraded your room. Before my smile goes away, I was shocked when I saw my room, that is a room door on the stairs corner, this T shape room built between two levels, my son is a 6ft tall boy, he can barely straight his body. I paid almost $400 a day for that room! Unbelievable! I love Venice, but I will NEVER ever go back to that hotel again!

Magnificent Hotel!

Marvelous! Lovely people in every service position. Great place to be! Super location to everything! Our window looked out on the canal and heard signing from them sometimes. Breakfast and dinner were lovely. Gorgeous rooms.

Great location. Even though we told them it was our 25th Wedding Anniversary there was a hard sell on our arrival to try and make us upgrade to a better more expensive room when they clearly had lots of empty rooms, it was disappointing and unnecessary. It spoilt it for us.

We enjoyed our stay very much. The location in January was quiet, safe, and we enjoyed being delivered by water taxi right to the hotels dock on the canal. Fun experience! The hotel staff arranged our transport for us to and from the airport and the cruise dock. Expensive but as my husband is disabled, worth it for the ease. The breakfast was nice and we had dinner in their small restaurant a few nights. It was nice we didn’t need to go out of the hotel after very long days. We would stay there again.

Great location, centrally located to walk to many highlights of Venice. The hotel was absolutely beautiful, the staff was very friendly and helpful. When back in Venice, this will be my go to hotel. Our room was absolutely beautiful, overlooked (1 floor off the canal) the canal and extremely quiet. Minutes walk to many restaurants, Rialto Bridge or St. Marks Square. A Perfect Venetian Getaway The hotel is a perfect blend of Venetian charm and modern comfort. From the moment we arrived, the staff was warm and welcoming. The location is perfect, just steps away from St. Mark’s Square and with easy access to all the iconic sights of Venice. Our room was beautifully decorated in traditional Venetian style, with elegant furnishings and a stunning view of the canal. A Venetian Step Back in time

This is a wonderful Venetian experience and we recommend it as an excellent place to visit as a family. Friendly hotel staff who are extremely helpful. Tucked away in a quiet corner - you can enjoy the proximity to a canal right outside one of the doors. Delicious buffet breakfast. Highly recommend Hotel Colonbina.
