When I read the comments I was a little worried, but everybody thinks about their expectation. For me basically cleanliness safety quiet and location are important this hotel has met my expectations. which I was a solo traveler. Recommended.

Front desk staff were unwelcoming, rude and unhelpful. Especially the man with ponytail. Extremely rude. Room was very small even though we paid for a triple room. Light bulbs burned out. Safe not attached to anything. Didn’t feel safe leaving passports etc. in room. No heat even though cold at night. Shower was a joke. Barely worked. Would not stay here again or recommend it. Woman who cleaned are room was very friendly and did a great job of clean. Other than this the hotel was terrible.

There were bed bugs in our room and my fiancé got several bites in his arms, neck, face and back. We believed the bed bugs were in the extra room of pillows that were in the closet. Just for that, we wouldn’t recommend it. Also, some of the staff are rude (front desk, specially)

We found bedbugs in the room that I asked to the stuff to eliminate them but they never wanted to help us. I had to kill the insects. I have proof video. We asked for towels since there were 4 people in the room and they never brought them to us. The hair dryer in the bathroom didn't work so we asked for an additional one which took them more than an hour to deliver and I don't know how many arguments with the stuff. The beds like rocks. They have zero courtesy, zero hospitality, zero friendliness. I will never return to that place.

We checked in two different times. Both times they said room was ready but there were no sheets on the bed. Had to wait hours. Even after check in time. Some front desk people were helpful. Others weren’t. We reported a light out in the room. Took two days to fix, then it went out again. Breakfast very basic and can be crowded. The location is great and that’s why I picked the hotel.

This property is old and NOT quaint. It needs a complete overhaul with new updated furnishings and take that old bed bug infested cloth lining off the wall. The bathroom smelled like a sewer even after housekeeping came upon request. I was giving a 1 star even before I was bitten by about a hundred bed bugs! I am allergic to bed bugs and therefore I swell up as soon as I am bitten. I reported it to mamagement and showed them the bed bug stsins on my sheets but they did nothing! Only good thing is thst the hotel is perfectly located for easy access to San Marco Square and other attractions.

There are some bad reviews I’ve seen but for what you pay for the area, it’s fine. You get what you pay for! Average to decent rooms. It’s a fraction of anything else close to saint marco square.

The hotel room was very small and dark. The bathroom was tiny and the breakfast was bland. OK for a cheap 1/2 night stop in Venice, however I would recommend paying extra for a bigger room.

This property is very well located close to the sea and 1 minute walk from St. Mark's Square. Easy access to water taxis as well. Included breakfast did not have much variety. Staff was courteous.

The hotel had beautiful charm. Very clean. Pillows to be desired, but ok. A little confusing to get around the halls but after a day you can figure it out. Be able to climb stairs. Breakfast available was great, coffee not so much, But the best Crossiants ever!!!! No USB ports in room so bring European converter.

Quirky Very central Venice hotel.
A very old and traditionally decorated room. For one night it was perfect and the breakfast was good. 30 seconds walk to st Marks Square and the Basilica. We think it offered great value for money and was excellent for an overnight in Venice.
