I live in WA state so we come up for an occasional weekend. This was my first time at Pan Pacific and I don’t think I want to stay anywhere else when I return to Vancouver. My Expedia status got us upgraded to a harbor view room that was fantastic and very spacious. It’s too bad the beds are double size and not Queen, but that was okay. The service was good, and the lobby level restaurant was fantastic (though expensive). My only gripe was the Indigo public parking (I don’t like valet). The garage was super confusing to navigate with awful signage. By bad luck, we parked around the middle and didn’t know that only the elevators on each end were functional (non cruise ship). Well, walking, we followed a map in the garage itself that pointed the wrong way to the hotel, so we were pretty much lost, walking through the convention center to get to the other end where the hotel was. At departure, we discovered just how easy it could’ve been. The elevators really do open into the lobby. Also, google maps was directing us to the fairmont waterfront, which was across from the garage. I hope these notes help somebody.

This property is dated. The rooms are warn and the bathtub looked dirty.To be clear, there is little that the cleaning staff could have done to fix the bathtub. It is old. Although the location is beautiful, there are several options in the area.

Booked a harbor view room. On check in it took some time for them to “find”a room. Advised that I was upgraded to a higher floor and renovated room on the 21st floor. The view directly out the window was of the railyard and buildings. Had to go right to the window to look to the water but that also included the container port. Contacted the front desk who offered to switch rooms to a lower floor which we declined, then they offered breakfast buffet coupons. They did their best to accommodate but I have a hard time understanding the initial delay/search for a room when our reservation was booked months in advance. Otherwise the location was convenient for our downtown plans. The room was clean but the mattresses were quite soft and not to our liking. We did not visit the bars or restaurants. On making our Expedia reservation it included a $25 meal voucher but we were advised we had $20 at check in. I overheard vouchers being provided to other guests so I’m not clear whether the perk was missed or misrepresented or just available to everyone. As we didn’t dine there it made no difference to our experience.

The room is really quiet with sound proof, you don’t hear your neighbors flush toilets or taking shower, nor if someone snores next door or laugh out loud. Staffs are all so friendly and the hotel is located at Canada place, absolutely convenient.
