We stay at the Blu often and its location is perfect. Close to shopping, restaurants and public transit. The rooms are comfortable and clean. The gym and pool are great as well.

The one issue we had was with the TV. We tried to link our phones to the TV to use Netflix and for some reason it constantly disconnected us. This was annoying and forced us to watch Netflix on our small screen to eliminate any interruptions. Otherwise, the staff, the food, the room, were all great and I will definitely be back here when we visit again.

I booked through Expedia. The price kept increasing every time I looked. I called the hotel and they could not match it. I thought I got breakfast but the selection I finally made did not include it. When we got into the room the pillows were large thick and uncomfortable. at 4am unable to sleep with the pillows, I called down to ask if they had other pillow options. They did not. Next morning I politely talked to the concierge. They were not interested and when I asked if they could compensate, they offered a discount on the next stay. After thinking on it, I requested a discount of some sort on the current bill. He offered to credit us the parking. I took that offer. I came back down an hour later and handed my key in and settled the bill. I walked out the door and realized my kid had left his coat in the room, I turned around and walked back to the desk and asked if I could get the key to retrieve the coat. The same receptionist who just checked me out and with whom I had been talking to all morning, says oh, well I need to see your id. My ID was in my car in the garage and told him so. He says well, I cannot give you the room key without ID. I am like but you just checked me out. He was like ya but how do I know you are who you say you are. So I went to the car and got my ID, he scrutinized it and reluctantly gave me a key. The WORST experience I have had in such a nice hotel.
