I love Granville isalnd Hotel. It is a safe place to stay right on the water and the surrounding shopping experience is a unique and very charming experience. There is a very good restarant on the property which sits right on the water. There are others as well to safely stroll to. I always love Sandbar for crab with drawn butter and live music that is gentle on the ears. The Island has a FABULOUS and bussling market with many food kiosks and several artisan stores surrounding. I have been staying here for years whenever I come to Vancouver and I always try to upgrade myself to the rooms facing the marina. The staff are are all fabulous and highly professional. They are very accomodating and will even keep your bags if you want to spend some time on the island after checkout. Uber, cabs AND a sea shuttle can take you everywhere else but there is hotel parking if needed. I suggest 2-3 days to take in the whole experience and some extra room in your suitcase to take away it's treasures.

The staff were absolute gems. The restaurant had great views and the food was a good value. Housekeeping brought us chocolates - their scheme worked because we'll be back. Next time we'll stay in a room that faces the water. If you're thinking of this hotel and you don't need modern top tier luxury but rather a clean and quaint room in a spectacular location? This is your hotel.

Great base for Granville Island weekend

Lovely hotel with restaurant overlooking a marina. Outstanding service and friendly staff. Charming rooms with nice views. Great base for a weekend to explore Granville Island; leave the car and go everywhere by foot. Highly recommend such a weekend as a break. Felt comfortable solo here.

This was the best stay we have ever had with our dogs. We felt our pets were welcome as apposed to some hotels where you feel like they are an inconvenience. The staff was amazing. Remembered and greeted you by your and your pets names. Dog treats at check in and any time you ran into a staff member they had a treat in their pocket. You didn't even realize you were in the city. So peaceful and quiet.

The Granville Hotel is the perfect spot to enjoy exploring the city - it was lovely to leave the car behind and explore the market and hops on the passengers ferries to enjoy other spots around False Creek.
