Honestly, for such an expensive stay, I had higher hopes for a flawless experience. But on positive side, the hotel was in a very nice/convenient location, the classic structure was beautiful, and they had a brand new renovated fitness facility with sauna. On the downside: 1) our room got really hot at night, and there was no air conditioning available, and even the fan built into the thermostat was blowing hot air, so there was no point. 2) the Wi-Fi was useless, and I ended up using my cell phone and hotspotting the whole time. You could pay it and get better Wi-Fi, but why should we have to for $300-400/night. 3 the TV was also lacking some innovation as other hotels that are just as nice or nicer usually use streaming services. 4) also, I didn’t like feeling that was being gouged for snacks and refreshments with their self automated fridge. I don’t mind paying for refreshments, but when it’s seven dollars for a can of pop, I think that’s ridiculous. But what gets me is that you actually have to ask for a fridge to be delivered to your room, otherwise you probably feel more obligated to buy their overpriced refreshments. Overall, it’s a nice building, but it wasn’t a comfortable stay for the price. Most likely I won’t be returning.

The Fairmont Hotel Vancouver was a wonderful hotel. Convenient location with easy transportation options to Vancouver points of interest. Definitely recommend this hotel to anyone visiting downtown Vancouver.

I was not impressed by the temperature of the hotel.. no air conditioning in room nor the ball room.. they gave me their last fan available but it was still 28 degrees in my room even with the window opened as much as I could.. super frustrating when u are paying a lot of money to stay their.. I did mention to the staff but I know it’s out of their hands.. NOT HAPPY

Fantastic location: near everything, easily accessible to Hullo ferry (walking) or sea planes (shuttle). Lovely building. Beds comfy, room styling is fine. Went to extravagant Christmas Day brunch. Food choices and quality fantastic. Lighting and floor staff all felt like a cafeteria. Not sure I’d do it again. Overall cocktail area service lacks a sophistication found at the Hotel Georgia or The Empress. Again, cafeteria feel. Plus, not an equal acknowledgement of all the clients looking for a table. I don’t feel I was subjected to the judgment. But, I certainly witnessed it firsthand. Assumptions of client worthiness needs to be addressed.

My family had a wonderful time at this hotel. Very beautiful with an amazing view of the city. The staff is friendly and very helpful. I would definitely recommend this hotel to Family and Friends. Worth the money we spent to stay there.

Customer service can be improved

Check in was slow. Room was not ready at time of check in. Was told to wait in the lobby but nobody came to help. It seems that the guests who came later all had rooms ready. Customer service is not up yo mark for a 5star hotel.
