Hidden gem in English Bay.

Fast friendly check in - room was large and clean with nice modern furnishings and a very comfortable bed - shower temperature not warm enough. Check out was a breeze. We would stay again for sure.

Location is great, staff was nice, lots of dining options that are walkable and coffee right outside. Rooms have been updated nicely but the building itself is just rundown. Biggest complaint is the outdated windows, the outside noise is so loud, people, cars, etc you can hear everything! kept me up all night.

Decent location, price is fair. Staff was nice. Parking was a nightmare, room was average. The walls were so thin we could literally hear the guy in the room next door cough all night. Not totally hotels fault but also not a great experience.

Value stay

It was a comfortable stay, but not quiet in the evening. People on the street were loud at night. Temperature was adequate in the room. My child was put off by the smell in the elevator and in the hallway. I got a faint hint of cigarette smoke and BO in the elevator, but that could have been someone who had used the elevator before us. It was comfortable and good value for a 1 night stay. Some decent restaurants in the neighborhood. Less homeless people in this area vs. Gastown area. That was a plus. A fantastic savory pie place, Peaked Pies around the corner from hotel.

Great location, but that’d be the best thing about this BW. Staff were friendly and helpful too. Room was smaller than expected, moderately comfortable with decent facilities. Comparative to other BW’s it’s not as good value - expensive parking (and if it’s busy good luck), no breakfast included, could definitely do with updating, one lift was broken for 2 of our 3 days/nights there, the bar downstairs can be rowdy. But, the location is excellent (which is why we chose it) with English Bay across the road, close to Stanley Park, shopping and many restaurants.
