We reserved a premium king suite and after checking in found the room to have an electrical issue in the bedroom…light switch and lamps were inoperative. The smoke detector was also chirping. Upon calling the front desk, we were told maintenance staff leaves at 4pm…same time as guest check-in which seems rather odd. There were no other equal accommodations and so we were put in a standard king room. This room had a broken mirror on the closet door, brown stains in the bathroom sink and the microwave was ancient and rumbled like it might blow up. There were hairs on the back of the toilet and frayed towels. The sheets were so wrinkled I wasn’t sure they were fresh. The hotel seems to be in bad need of an update and better management. The hotel offered nothing to compensate for the room change. We asked the hotel to handle contacting Expedia and we’re told they would try. We asked a second time that evening and got no further response so we contacted Expedia ourselves. Expedia was great to make things right with the hotel property when we contacted them. We just shouldn’t have had to spend close to an hour on the phone to handle this ourselves. We typically stay at Home2Suites in Tupelo which is an excellent property but thought we would give this property a try because of its proximity to the mall. We will not be staying here again and do not recommend this property.

Was a great visit. Breakfast could go a little longer than 9am and the offerings were ok. April at the front desk was amazing overly helpful and made our visit more than pleasant!!

The room definitely needs updating. The bed was lumpy. The shower was mid. The wallpaper was peeling off the wall. The ceiling had water damage. The breakfast was good. The staff were friendly and attentive.

Felt Like “Persona” Non Grata at Check-in

Yes, the title is a hint if management is reading this. Out of the hundreds of hotels we’ve stayed in, this was absolutely the least friendly check-in we’ve ever experienced. She seemed very unhappy that she had to get out of her chair and check us in. Not just unfriendly, but down right rude through the entire process. The room itself was fine, no complaints. But the check-in was incredibly maddening.

Overnight trip to Tupelo

Overall, our stay was really good. The lady that checked me in was very nice and it went pretty quick. The room was clean and it was fairly updated. I especially loved the Keurig in the room. The only downfalls were: 1. The shower curtain was either too short or hung too hugh so when webtook showers, the water went out onto the floor so i had to use the big towels to soak up the water off the floor. 2. The room didnt have any USB ports. It onky had outlets and i only had my car charger w/o a plug so i had to go to the car to charge my phone. 3. Our room keys kept deactivating and we had to gobdown to the front desk to get them reactivated. We didnt have them on anything to do it ao im not sure what that was about. The pool looked nice and clean but when we checked in, the lady at the front desk inform3d me that it wasn't warm but maintenance was aware. We didnt plan to get in it anyway. My son went to the gym and it said it was good. The breakfast was decent. Typical hotel breakfast with omlets, biscuits and gravy, sausage, hone fries (those were delicious), waffles, and coffee, uice, tea, etc. I plan to stay again when i come back in July for my family reunion. Hopefully the pool will be good and warm by then.
