We loved our little house on the beach and would return in a heartbeat! You can walk to the Tulum Ruins and being in Parque Jaguar makes the area pretty quiet, different than the beach area in the hotel zone. It was great for us but be aware there is a daily fee to enter the park so if you are planning on a lot of excursions away from the hotel/beach then those fees can add up. The included breakfast was lovely. My son felt very pampered hanging out at the beach club. The front desk staff were wonderful, very attentive ensuring we were having a great stay and helping me with figuring out transportation on the collectivos and making recommendations for excellent street food in Tulum Pueblo. Don't miss Churros la Lupita!

The hotel itself was great. The beach is amazing, the included breakfast was very good for a your standard hotel breakfast. Cleaning staff did a great job. Pool is nice as a change of pace from the ocean. The pictures don’t do this place justice, it’s far nicer than it initially looks I think. My only issue is staying in the park. In general, it was fine but having to buy wrist bands every day is a giant PITA, especially if you come back after 5pm unexpectedly. The park staff all tell you different things and I don’t think anyone really knows what to actually do. Why not let me buy a week pass to the park? Why do I need to do it every day? Or sell me all the wristbands at once? I understand this isn’t a problem with the hotel itself, but the national park. This process needs work, but again it’s not the fault of the hotel. Also, don’t trust Google maps directions to get to the hotel. You need to take the long way around currently and go in the other end of the park than Google will direct you. Overall wonderful stay and highly recommend the hotel.

Alito Hotel was amazing and exactly what my partner and I were looking for during our trip to Tulum. The beach was stunning, the food was amazing and the staff were very kind! There are a couple things to consider: 1. The beds are pretty worn in and not the comfiest. The springs in ours were completely broken and made sleep disruptive. 2. There was a miscommunication regarding entry into the national park after 5pm. The hotel is located inside the Jaguar National Park so if you leave the hotel, you must reenter the park to get back to the hotel. We were told many times to simply show our reservation to be allowed in after the park has closed, but we encountered an issue where the park guard would not let us through because our bracelet was not for that day. Turns out, the hotel is supposed to sell us bracelets every day to pay the daily park fee and be allowed in. My partner and I were stuck outside the park with no entry and the hotel did not answer any phone calls through the various numbers we found. 3. Definitely travel with a steel water bottle! There is fresh water in the lobby that we used to refill our bottles

We LOVED staying at the Alito Tulum Hotel!!! The Resort is right on the ocean within the El Jaguar National Park - the Mayan Ruins are a short walk down either the beach or the park road (which has shuttles running constantly). As older travelers, we felt very safe at all times. The staff is very helpful, food is great and it is such a nice sized resort; about 30 bungalows. The bungalows have thatched roofs and are very pleasant inside. Definitely a great place to avoid the over stimulation of the big resorts! Pay attention to the no plastics rule inside the National Park - bring your own water bottle!

The beauty is second to none. The hotel is located in a national park so you need to pay daily which is a bit of a bummer. Also, the park officials will confiscate your alcohol when entering the park so conceal the booze if you can, staff are very friendly and pleasant.

I am very disappointed because I had high expectations for this hotel. The breakfast was terrible and the service was bad, we waited a whole hour for our food to come out and mind you there was not many people at breakfast there was a lot of empty tables. I don’t understand why I needed to wait that long just for my food to be served cold and stale and the portions size was ridiculously small.

Located in a privileged area by the water but unfortunately this hotel is not up to the standards. We were there for 7 days and everything was subpar from bed bugs to a lack of good service. Our room was next to the parking lot and the black water pump- there was never a disclaimer on this and they were unable to relocate us. Restaurant service was poor, it was really hard to get the waiters’ attention to get any orders in at any time of the day. The 2 times we got served; service was slow and lacked of detailed and food was very subpar! Can’t even get an avocado toast, black coffee or even Mexican staples right! They made it really hard for us to spend our money in the property which is why we went to neighboring hotels for meals (even though breakfast was included in our reservation). The front desk team tried, but I am still waiting for a hair dryer I asked for on day 2. Getting into, recommendations or solutions out of these guys was hard. The housekeepers were good and thorough, there was only 1 day they didn’t get to our room until 6 pm and by that time was late. Even though the room was cleaned and we had hot water; we ended up with bed bug bites. Room was dark, no real space to put clothes other than a than a humid closet. One morning the black water pump out started at 7:30 am right next to our window without any warning or heads up. The noise and the sewage smell made it impossible to stay in the room. Very disappointing-
