My stay was amazing I would recommend to anyone. Staff were lovely. The whole place felt like going back in time by it’s history but it was maintained to high standard. Very clean and lovely decoration. I felt so comfortable and so well looked after. Please go and see for yourself that your have a great time. Food lovely too. And the gardens well they were fabulous.
This is a lovely hotel and one which seems to take excellent customer service seriously. The room was lovely - beautifully decorated and lovely bathroom. Breakfast was very good too, bur the show-stopper is the staff who are, without exception helpful, polite and willing to go the extra mile. The hotel is beautiful and the historic rooms in the building have been sensitively decorated to a very high standard.

Very average
Just a one night city break as had this one on our bucket list. It was all OK although the décor could do with an update. Many broken panes of glass, corridors etc need a refresh. Large stain on the bedroom floor. Lovely building but have stayed at much better places in Cornwall. OK for the price but probably won't be rushing back
Went for a weekend break in October with family. Was lucky to have beautiful autum sunshine ☀️ throughout the weekend. Old castle/ convent converted into hotel. Very peaceful and quiet, civilised.
Pleasant and helpful staff, comfortable bedding, booked an executive suit which for UK, hotels was huge and the breakfast was amazing/ delicious . The staff went above and beyond to help and make us comfortable.
Ample parking and just ten mins walk to the main amenities. I would highly recommend for a short break.

Squeaky door……..halloween theme?
Was allocated to room 11, keeps on hearing the squeaky door downstair. Probably it’s the staff entrance to kitchen. Due to its high traffic, the squeaky sound won’t stop until 11pm and got wake up 6:30 in the morning.
Understand that’s a hotel with history, the building is beautiful but it should be providing travelers with a good night’s sleep.
Breakfast is good, staff is friendly. Location is close to town which is a good choice to stay and explore Truro.
Room was great, evening food needs options at 5pm, more range on main meals in restaurant would be good.
Breakfast service was appalling, multiple tables asking for drinks and food as to where it was. I waited 8 mins to be asked what drink i would like and then a further 22 mins for anything to arrive
The property inside looks a little tired and my pollack dinner was over-cooked and had I not been with my family I would have sent it back.
The staff were very pleasant.
Then staff were their usual selfs, polite enthusiastic and kind.
Room was as usual faultless and very comfortable, clean and always has an upmarket feel, that shouts 1st class.
