Property is beautiful. Room is spacious, clean and comfortable. Lighting is amazing! Bathroom large and functional. Service is great and staff are helpful and friendly. Restaurant is pretty, clean and food is marvelous. A true diamond in the rough! A charming place for a relaxing stay. Right on lake, state park and waterfall!

Slightly missed the mark

This could be a spectacular place to stay, but just missed the mark. In all of our travels, we have NEVER stayed at a place with NO PLACE TO HANG ANYTHING! I feel certain this could be remedied. Otherwise, it was a lovely room. Maybe we missed it somewhere, but at the hotel or in the documentation, there were no directions for getting to the falls.We walked along the busy highway when we didn’t have to. Signage near the falls parking lot was great, but nothing we could see around the hotel. The second morning, we came to breakfast around 8:30 and found no eggs, no hot water,only 2 plates, and many uncleared tables. I’m guessing staff shortage, but it was still a disappointment. Eventually, all was resolved. Great view, nicely decorated room with most amenities, reasonable walk to the falls. Very hard mattress.

Several electric outlets in the room weren’t working. Challenge and inconvenience trying to find an operational outlet. A/C unit.s fan was vibrating and rattling making for a poor night’s rest.

Unfortunately one of the rooms just down the hall from our had a dog that must have been left alone by their owners. Sadly the dog howled for almost an hour before the owners returned. The noise was disruptive to most everyone on the fourth floor.

The good and the not so good.

The grounds and view were absolutely beautiful! Burger, and brew night was a pleasant surprise. The owner was a bit grouchy and insulting. I guess it’s his MO. Dinner in the restaurant was OK. The vegetable lasagna and shrimp Caesar salad were good. The eggplant rollatini should be taken off the menu as it was a pile of noodles and tomato sauce. It was taken off our bill. Breakfast was good.

Location is excellent if you want nearby hiking and a nice quiet place out of the way. Rooms were nice and a decent value for the price. Service was good.

Unit was clean. Building had only 3 Units so it was quiet. Had refrigerator and microwave. Spa tub with separate shower and proper highth toilet. Desk was unstable. Joints loose unusable. Bed sheets were scratchy. 2 thermastates in room one was broken. Pedestal sink was covered in stress marks. Spa tub was uncomfortable to sit in with not slanting end. The restaurant was closed. The dining room had spiderwebs hanging in window sills. Cost of unit did not compare to what we received in services. Therefore price was too high.
