Rooms and surrounds of hotel need updating. We were in a room at the back of the hotel and there is some noise from the staff doing things outside, maybe kitchens. The bathrooms need some updating.

No air conditioning and it was unseasonably hot for May. Could only open our window a little and it opened near a kitchen vent, so not very helpful. Otherwise, a lovely stay. Great restaurant and short walk to the castle and to downtown.

Nice hotel. Room was clean and the beds were nice. Our room had a twin and a full. It had a great view of Trim Castle. It was within walking distance to the castle as well.

Very convenient, feels historic. Comfortable and accommodating. Everything was very clean and functional, a little worn in places. But I thought it added to the charm. Would highly recommend and would stay there again. Can’t say enough about the town! I want to live there permanently!

Excellent stay at castle arch. Hotel is quite dated but room was clean,bed very comfortable and shower great pressure. Breakfast was ok but a bit of a shambles,had to ask for cutlery,milk and table wasn’t wiped other than that breakfast was enjoyable. Staff are exceptionally friendly and helpful. Short walk into town,beautiful views of the Castle. A must see place,we will definitely be back.

As we expected for a property of its age. Perfectly comfortable and the staff were brilliant. We had to come up with a new plan if one of us had to get up during the night. The bed is directly opposite the bathroom. As all switches are outside the bathroom, the light blinded the sleeping person instantly awake! :)
