We have always enjoyed staying at The Red Roof Inn. The smell of the room was the best I have ever encountered at a hotel. There are not many places that I feel clean well enough, but during this stay I felt completely at ease as far as cleanliness. I absolutely loved the smell of the linens & towels. It was a very, very nice room. We felt like the king size bed was too firm, which made it difficult to sleep. Also, we believe they should definitely implement the policy of writing down guest's tag numbers due to the fact that during our stay one of the guest's car alarm went off around 3 am, and they were unable to find out whose it was until the police arrived 45 minutes later. The gazebo has been damaged at some point so it looked pretty rough. Otherwise, it was an absolute pleasure to stay there. The staff was absolutely wonderful, and it will always be one of the 1st hotels we will look to stay at in the future. We do also wish they would convert the rooms that are separate from the main building into smoking rooms. As a smoker, you end up spening more time outside smoking than being able to enjoy the room and amenities you are paying for. Also, the air conditioning unit in our room could use a bit of an upgrade.
