The hotel is in a convenient location, close to the train station and in easy walking distance of the city centre. It is a little outdated and could do with modernisation. The room we had was lovely and big, but the corner bath was difficult to get in and out of to use the shower. Our biggest issue was the noise from the housekeeping staff, despite having a 'Do Not Disturb' sign on the door one morning, they were talking loudly, using mobile phones and banging about right outside our door, even though we were tucked away at the far end of a corridor - a little more respect for visitors wouldn't go amiss. Staff were friendly enough but didn't offer anything in the way of recommendations, a map, information about the hotel etc.

The Continental is in a great location, 5 minutes from the train station, 10 minutes from Piazza dei Signori and a similar distance to the riverwalk. While my single room was very small, it was well laid out and comfortable. I really liked the bed linen as donā€™t like quilts as find them too warm. I paid for breakfast one morning and there was a great selection of food and beverages. It was worth paying for. All staff I interacted with were very helpful. I really liked the fact every night when I came in late, someone would greet me. As a solo traveller I liked that. I just have 2 minor suggestions, which are just personal preferences. I would like one glass made available in a room, rather than the light plastic cups. I also would like a kettle and some coffee when staying more than one night. However, these are just minor suggestions. I thought this hotel was great value for money, I enjoyed my stay and Iā€™d stay here again. Thank you.

Great location for train station and walk into the town centre. Feels a little like a hotel from the 70's with decor, service and facilities to match (e.g. has aircon but it was so irratically noisy in both rooms we had that it woke us up).
