It’s getting to the point where you should book a hotel further away from the airport. The shuttle service for pick up is terrible. I waited 50 minutes for one so we could drive 5 minutes down the road . The shuttle service is terrible for most hotels near the airport.

The front desk agent checking me in (I don't remember her name - it was something like Tamisha) was beyond excellent. She was super busy but handled each guest with efficiency and kindness. She is a huge asset to this hotel.

I was expecting airplane noise due to proximity of the airport , there was next to none. It was either guests or housekeeping slamming doors every 15 min throughout all hours of the day and night. Was very frustrating. Also they charge $15 for parking a night, first time in my life I've experienced this at this level of hotel. The shower looked renovated somewhat but there wasn't a door ( shower wasn't sealed) had to be cautious and use my body to block water from going on bathroom floor, needless task when your already stressed out from your business meeting you had to fly to Toronto for.

To get to my room on the 5th floor I had to change elevators on the 4th floor which I found confusing and wasn't adequately explained to me at check in. My room key wouldn't open the garage entrance to the hotel.

Shuttle bus driver was prompt and very personable. Staff was efficient and friendly. Housekeeping staff person made a real effort - offered a heater for my room as the room heater could not be turned on. Restaurant staff also very efficient.

I asked for a taxi & received a black vehicle with driver in an unmarked vehicle, He charged me $35 for 10 minute trip! Next time i will call my own taxi! Felt I was ripped off in that regard.

Very close to airport, staff was nice and friendly. Place is pretty dated and you have to pay for parking. Nice thing is parking lot connected to building and if you are on 2nd floor its really close. Other than that great value. PS if you are a light sleeper you will hear the airplanes go by
